Magic Particle - Body Disappearing

I know how to do magic particles but how do u do magic particle swirl disappearing? what i mean is for example when the particles go around your legs they disappear but the rest of your boody is there untill it passes other parts of your body, i hope someone can help

the most basic way is to take a shot of your actor, then a shot of the background, and use your NLE to do a 'wipe' transistion between the 2. render this and then put it in alamdv, and put the particle effect over the edge of the wipe. hey presto, disappearing actor smile

Or, if you want the particles to move in such a way they leave a proprer trail use ParticleIllusion 3. Put in two layers and the effect, changing the number sectoin to go behind, render with both layers, render with only the bottom layer, and a wipe transition over the top and done.
