Another Classic NoControl Cinema Video, digitally enhanced with AlamDV.

Darla Dirladada is the music video we did in a french lesson a few years ago for the French classic song with the same name, sung by a woman with the same name. smile

The song is a fantastic piece of extraordinary music with hugely philosophical and highly inspirational lyrics which just give you the right images when you listen to it...

Wow... This is proof that if you're a respected member of this community, you can get away with posting ANYTHING. I guarantee if someone we'd never heard of before had posted this, everyone would be like, "What the hell was this crap?" and, "you suck. get off my island.". We salute you, Sollthar! biggrin

I pondered many seconds after watching this video. There was something I could not quite put my finger on. neutral

I watched again and pondered many seconds... eek

Then it hit me like a metric ton of so much cotton socks!

WTF is the black spot in the mouth of the sock with the green bow tie? tard

Is it a signal of some sort?

Was this sock abused before it started its career in Swiss/Germanic made French Music videos?

Is it a an artifact left after being compressed with MS Media encoder?

Will it come out in the wash? eek

Last but not least, will this spawn a series of copy-cat sock puppet movies?

will this spawn a series of copy-cat sock puppet movies?
Lets hope not.... eek rolleyes

That black spot... well... When we did that video, I wanted to socks look as real as possible, if you know what I mean... So I decided they need to have a throat. biggrin
But the other two were against that decision, hence only my sock has a throat now. sad

I gave it a high vote because I find it absolutely hilarious. Even if it had been posted by Noob#3521 I'd still have enjoyed it this much.

It's brilliantly obscure. smile

Foreign-language films are more than welcome. Some of us might not understand them, but they are still welcome! Perhaps you could put subtitles on it for those of us who unfortunately only speak English?

Sorry Solly, but that was awful. confused

The song itself seemed to be trying to make my ears bleed. After about 30 seconds, I was going to turn it off, but watched all of it out of respect cuz like other people said, it was Sollthar who made it.

The "attempted" lip-syncing (can you even call it that?) could probably have been done better by a rock. The bobbing socks became obnoxious. The 20 second long shots of the socks didn't help. I didn't laugh, I didn't smile, I just couldn't understand that someone of you're "calibre" could have made something this bad.

The 1 star is for some nice backgrounds which aren't just blue or on a crappy stage-like cut out.

I just realized I never posted in here or rated the film. Haven't seen it in a while so Im gonn load it up again.

Waser watches again

First off, let me just say neutral that was my express-

no Im just kidding. I loved this movie just as much as I did when I saw it all those months ago. First of all, I love the song. It was one of the first things that proved to me that French can be a beautiful language.

I honestly dont think I would have rated this lower if it were from someone else. I think that there is something unexplainably funny, cute, and cool about this movie, but it may be that they're sock puppets.
