Get a skateboard and paint it all green. The wheels, the board...Everything! And then key it out in post!

Painting it green will only be useful if you get a background plate as well. This in turn essentially means having a stationary shot.

bundi, I am guessing you have seen that proffesionaly done skate video where the skaters skate around with invisible skateboards, where the camera accually moves while they skate.

I have watched this video and my friends has asked me to try and re-create it. If I come up with anything I will let you know.

it isn't possible to make a plug-in for this effect. you would have to do it in a program like after effects.

Once again nobody has noticed the way to do it with alam (but you'll need a chroma keying program - I recomend Chromanator, it'll be da bomb [though it aint out yet])

Take one of the chroma colour boxes from the plugins section, then put it over the skateboard, keyframe it, take it into the other program, key the colour to reveal the background plate.

And your done

(this is considering the camera is still at each take)

...to add on to Ex's comment.................

Be sure its still in filming, but after all the FX are in, import to Premiere, and then use the motion filter...WA-LA! Motion! Just dont use it too much, then it looks bad.

Well, I'm not busy recently (well, I am, but I still could try).

I might not do the best of jobs, but I wanna try.

(though if there is a problem with the footage then I couldn't)

you obviously didn't listen when we said it needs to be a tripod shot, and we need a clean plate...

I've got a way of doing it. It is very complicated, but I will try my best.

There will be bits missing of either end (so I have a feeling that what I am doing may be similar to andrew's way - unless he just doesn't want to do those more complicated bits).

We'll see how my idea goes, and, if it works I will share, but if I fail be sure you won't hear from me in this topic razz

its probably possible, because you can pull the background from right b4 he goes there, BUT

it would take HOURS, and most people dont have that kind of free time - paid time is different wink

I have Icarus, which can erase things like you are describing, but the quality of video is too low for me to get a good tracking.

Sidewinder, is ICARUS a program that is by itself, or is it a 3D plugin for 3D Studio max?

To do this properly you need a motion control camera.

Evidently out of range on an amateur budget.

Heck it's out of range for most movies with budgets below $15 million US!

To do this right, use a tripod, lock your shots (ie: don't move the camera)

Shoot a background plate

Otherwise insanity awaits you or the poor schlub who wants to help.

Even with kickass tracking you'll have problems making this look good.

hey, i just thought of something... couldnt you take pictures of the area you filmed, and stitch them together, and use that as a background plate?
