Well I can truly appreciate the effort put into the CGI. = 1 star

I like the eerie black and white look. = 1 star

And the monotoned voice was a good resident evil like touch. = 1 star

the music was absolutley atrocious*(spelling?) - 1 star

and the whole layout of this trailer wasn't interesting at all. Didn't spark my excitement level at all. - 1 star.

Thank you

that was just freakin' weird. and I don't mean in a good way.

The trailer was boring, didn't tell much abou the plot, and the action was all lame. Good use of Poser and keying though.

interesting. will there be another trailer before the film?. this didnt show much about the story, just some zombie effects ( nice ones though). will there be actros playing zombies or just cgi? i think real actors could have more impact maybe. i'll be interested to see the finished film

I liked the 1st zombie, the one that looked a bit like the mummy from The Mummy, but the others were not so good - they looked artificial & not scary, had no shadows & didn't really look as if they were walking on the ground. Do you think it's a good idea to do them in poser when you could do them so much better in real life with some good use of makeup?

I don't really know what to expect for the movie except a lot of zombies are gonna get killed. A tip for the trailer would be to record a better voiceover because I hardly heard it, or even write titles instead.

I'm sorry but I can't give it more than 2, a better conveyance of the plot would have merited 3.

Thanks for the feedback. Inspiring as feedback always is on this site.

I run a poser community site called PoserCity.com, so yes all the zombies in the movie will be created from Poser. The thing is that there were actual actors in sweatsuits shot for all the zombies. I had a hired a professional animator to do them in a combination of maya and poser 5 but he ultimately dropped my project because a bigger paying one came along.

So, at this point, I'm left animating them myself, cutting out the actors and compositing. It's slow tedious work but I am determined to finish it. It is kind of a gimic film intended for Poser users.

There is a story though not a terribly original one. The guy, Zombie Hunter's family is killed or it's implied they've been killed by zombies. There are a grand total of 3 live action actors that appear in the movie. ZH, the sidekick character and some poor smuck who gets his ear bitten off.

I'll try to come up with a better preview as I think most of your critic was fair, apart from the assinine remark about the music being "absolutley atrocious". Now if Matt was saying it was a poor choice for the preview that's different. But that album got rave reviews and that song in particular (the title track Typical Illusion)garnered more priase than anything else on the record.

I agree makeup fx on real actors could look better easily, but this was sort of a gimic film and without Poser being involved it would have no meaningful connection to my community site.

You know, I realize that this is no "Shock Troopers" or "The Test". Then again, it's not two guys running around with light sabers or dressed up like Neo and dodging bullets. See my point?

Ultimately, I hope to have custom music and a more professional sound design layer added. Oh yeah, the shadows on the zombies has been added but just ddin't make it into the clip. If you'll note the ones walking in from the field had individual shadows just not the ones by the barn.

Thanks for your constructive feedback.

Regards,
Brent

Well, good luck with the film. I appreciate how difficult it must be making the film because I use Poser 3 sometimes. smile I look forward to seeing it

Greybro, I could honestly care less about how well that song from whatever album did in stores. Ludacris's rap album did good in stores but that doesn't mean his songs would go good in just any film trailer becuase the song had "rave reviews".

So don't even start trying to pick on me becuase of too highly descriptive words used in my review. I like how you got back at me by rating my matrix film so low. But come on, the childish games I left behind a long time ago. So just lighten up a bit old buddy.

Matt, I gave your clip an honest rating regardless of what you think. I certainly didn't call it "Atrocious". And like I said if you meant that the music didn't fit the clip, heck, you're probably right. This isn't the actual score just something I could lay my hands on until my sound designer could score something more appropriate. As for going round and round with you, I'm done. You're reminding me why I almost never post here. Too many big mouth youngsters without perspective.

in your screenshot it kinda makes it look like the zombie is some sort of reflective surface being and is cool. woulda been kickass for the movie.

the only vibe i get is a low budget feel of the already low budget and shouldn't be lower budget Evil Dead. Even the whole cabin area (idea?) makes it seem too similar.

And i agree with matt that the music is attrotious(sp)...at least for this peice. It does not flow and takes away from the impact.
