Every time i go to download a video out of my documents, i select it, hit open, and a small box comes up that says: Index out of range......Script error. I have no clue why this is happening or how to fix it. Any help would be great.

What kind of movie is it, and what codec does it use?

It doesn't matter what kind or type it is, NONE of the file types in any of the movies work.

Well, sometimes it does matter. smile

Some unusual codecs can cause problems, but DV and uncompressed video should be fine (except MicrosoftDV).

Do you have the latest version of Quicktime and Windows Media Player installed, and are they working normally?

If it was working fine a few weeks ago, you must have changed something on your computer. Have you installed/uninstalled new software or changed settings?

Try reinstalling AlamDV2.

What format/codec are your movies? What OS are you running? What video hardware do you have installed? Did the demo version work ok?

Whoa cool it!! They are trying to help you, if you dont cool it, it prob. will never work!

Use Mel's prog. and see, then you might get somewhere!!

EDIT:

Check through these, do you have all of this?

I'm in the same situation. I posted my problems a while ago, with no success. It's that little blue square again, and I have quicktime etc installed, all works fine. I don't know how to change the codec settings or anything, so can anyone help me (bearing in mind I have not much knowledge on this subject)?

I'm having the same problem as Vertigo. When I run the Gspot program, it shows up as n.a. I originally loaded the video on a friend's computer from a DV camera, and it worked with the AlamDV demo. He sent the computer on to this computer, we bought AlamDV, and it's not working. sad

I downloaded the MainConcept DV Codec demo but it still does the same thing...

I have gone through the support threads and tried every method to fix this problem that was mentioned... I've downloaded around 4 DV Codecs and other programs and crap and installed them and it still gives me the Index out of Range error.

i know it's not...

- dv codec (i used to get a different error message before i installed the suggested ones)

-a 32bit grapihics thing (i am running 32 bit)

-old versions of media player or quiktime

-anything to do with internet security (i tried disabling and even uninstalling them)
