now when you first make the object for example a powerball, do you make the background transparent?

put it on black. I assume it glows, so put the glowing power ball or w/e on a pure black bground. Save. When you put it into the plugger, you could check take out black or w/e. i dont remember. hope this helps? confused

I'm new to plugins and I can't figure it out how to produce a simple plugin. I am using Photoshop 7 and I have some good photos on blue screen to use as plugins. But I am stuck .
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

What exactly did you need help with? Are you having difficulty removing the blue backgrounds, or in the actual construction of the plug-in, or what?

There are a couple tutorials on these subjects.

http://fxhome.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3082 This is on creating an alpha channel for the image in Photoshop, which is required to remove the background once the plug-in is built.

http://fxhome.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5410 And this one is on the actual plug-in building process.

Maybe you have alreaady seen these. If not, take a look, as they should answer your questions. If you are still confused over something, let me know what specifically is giving you grief, and I'll be happy to help you out with it.

That explains about what to do with the blue background.
