An amusing spin on the Star Wars mythos, bringing Jedi Knights into the Present Day and teaching us that the line between the light and dark side of the force is far more blurred than we thought.

The two films we've finished have been updated, we thought it would be nice to have all the films in one place for easier access. Ex will be filmed in January (hopefully).

It was okay. To me it looked like another reason for a saber battle. It was cute. Language could have been toned down, as it is is never necessary. I don't know what you plan to tell in part 3. These relentless saber duels are starting to get a bit old. You did a good job technically with your effects. Camera shots could be improved. Overall okay.

You plan to be effects people or moviemakers or were you just dinking around to have some fun?

I clicked here to see 3 movies (hence Trilogy) and I see two movies I've seen before with no third one only to see that it will be filmed in January sad

Why wouldn't you wait til you shoot and finish the third movie to put them in a box set?

Why not. Lets face it, at the end of the day sabre fights are a laugh. And while it's nice to do films with a decent reason, story, etc, every now and again it's good for you to just do something silly and laugh your heads off.

To the Stepladder guys,

I really enjoyed shotgun and 3 seconds (apart from the too long argument) and look forward to your new movie. Looks like you all have a great laugh and really enjoy what you do - would love to work with you all one day - ON SOMETHING FUN!!!!

On a serious note, I personally would have released the 3rd film for a few weeks, THEN published them as a box set. But what do I know biggrin

Get on with your filming - can't wait for the new one.

Cheers hugegrin

Thanks a lot rcamuk, your comments are highly appreciated :o) The Unwritten Rule Trilogy is, as you say, just a laugh, but we're serious film makers as well. We've been working on a feature film screenplay for about 7 years and we're hoping to film it sometime in the next 3 years (lol) but as well as that we'll be working on some dialog-driven short films while we're at university, as well as a sketch-show project and other short comedies.

Thanks again for your praises.

You got any films we could check out?

Hi guys,

I'm afraid I'm a newbie to all this filming malarky. The only film I have out at the moment is our 1st film Reservoir Kats. Have a look and see what you think.

If you ever go into the chat room I go under the nickname NoClue ('cos that's what I have!).

Enjoy!

We're currently in the process of filming "EX" and will "hopefully" be done filming by the weekend. If all goes well the film should be released by the end of February.

this was good,
but the language really brings it down, i know it may not seem realy important, but it is a hilarious film, a great idea for a laugh, but the language...........no need for it,
but i'm just a member of the audience, i have no say
good luck with your 3rd one

wow, i just finished shotgun and I have to say I am impressed. at first I thought this was going to be some movie with a bunch swearing for no reason, and other crap like that to make it more adult, but I loved it. all the effects (alam, force grap, and the force jump) were really really good. Part two is almost done, and I can't wait to see it.

EDIT:

Now that ive seen all there is I just want to say that I loved the first two. I don't see why these movie get so much flak for swearing. It's not that I don't think swearing makes a movie good, it's just imagine if they had said "frick" or "you jerk" in the place of what they said. it would have been really lame. I gave these movies 5 stars because the duels were actaully allot better than most star wars movies on this site, the humor was funny, and the overall idea is great. can't wait for Ex.

PS what did you guys use for your lightsaber duels? i have tried PVC pipes but they are so heavy. the way the lightsabers moved made it seem like you werent using anything

Thanks for the praise! Awesome to have a fan :o) Thanks for your comments, it's appreciated.

In Shotgun we used the crappy, extendable lightsaber blades you get with the toys. In 3 Seconds we used snooker cues and in Ex we're using wooden dowels.

BTW filming has begun and after a short study break we'll finish it off. Stay tuned!

Guys,

trailer for ex was great. Can't wait to see the finished film. one question though. Where did you get the record scratch sound? I've found hundreds on the net, but they're just not quite right if you know what I mean. Your's is just the right sound, but I can't find anything similar. Please tell me confused

Cheers,
