hey, forgive me if i posted this in the wrong section but i made this little movie and i just wanted to share it with some people. i didnt use alam dv or any special effects but oh well, it was just a fun little thing me and my friend did on a boring day.

by the way, this is BrickMovies4U (doubt anyone remembers me).. i havent been around for a while. quit making lego movies and just pulled out the old camera for a little fun.

Well I'm American and seen a lot of streetball and AND1 type games, but dude that was crap. It had no story therefore there was little to no reason to keep watching. Even the framerate was so terrible you could not see any of the players jooks/moves which is the main reason why streetball is so popular. All and all you can do better than that. Just take the time to plan ahead and actually tell a story.

Don't assume I don't know what that was about, just because I live in the UK. I've seen and heard of street basketball before. And from what I saw of the vid, it was just a home video of someone playing with family. Not really something that should be on Alam. Now, your personal homepage, maybe.

I dont like wmv much either, but it has great compression to quality. Also many programs don't export to quicktime.

What's fun to you isn't always going to be the same as the next person. Why did you post it if you didn't think about that kind of reaction? If anything, I think it was obvious that this wasn't going to go down well.

The only reason I watched it was because I thought something was going to happen. But it played like someone's home movie of a favourite pasttime, i.e. not very interesting to the outsider. Nobody would be interested if I posted a home movie of myself and a friend playing tennis in my house, would they?

well posted it here cause i had it on my webspace and i figured i might as well post it. i mean, i didnt expect everyone to praise it, i really could care less if it sucks, but i mean, dont get all excited about it like "omg that was so horrible ive never seen anything worse in my life." but for all those who said that, thank you, i will take that great advice and go meditate with it and make a better movie.

oh and by the way, feel free to make a tennis video. i think thatd be hilarious.

but for the record, i am sorry i posted that movie. i was not aware that we had to post things that were considered good by everyone. i am sorry.

That wasn't the point. There are plenty of alam films and they all have a purpose. Yours was a home vid. And like you said, you posted it because, "i had it on my webspace and i figured i might as well post it". That's a reason for asking people to download and watch it?

oh and i wasnt aware that to post on this forum it HAS to be a movie using alam dv. sorry, i wont make that mistake again.
Who said your movie had to have alamdv? If it had something to interest the viewer, that's enough.
