Well, it worked. Good first attempt. I tried this a few times, and was told that a bulb effect at the base of the sabre makes it even better. You used the burning rubble plugin too i see, authors like seeing their work in action.

IMHO i think that seeing as this is a short test, meant only for the internet, or possible for a DVD extra, i wouldn't include such a long title sequence, nor ending credits. this might entice more people to see it. also i think thatthe logo is too long and repeats iself too much. keep it short and people will watch it. Other than that a very good lightsabre test.

I have shorted the introclip because it was too long. The duration is now 46 seconds.

The lightsaber core seems a little thin..
more of a light foil, than a light sabre (fencing reference).

That was good. The sabre was kind of thin though. make it thicker and a glow of about 4. Other than that it was good. Where did you get that light sabre hilt?

Yes, it is a little thin. But i think, it is because the video. it is on VHS-C and not on Mini-DV. That light sabre hilt i bought 3 years ago from a friend for 50 German Marks. He builded it.

I dont think that the video makes certain objects smaller though.

Yeah, i gotta say it is cool for the first try. I liked the way you set that thing on fire just by slightly touching it. Cool sound effects.

that was good for a first try i wasnt any better, u probably should of made the blade a bit thicker, and put down the glow a bit.
and one last thing. you should have blured the lightsaber a bit in the render menu, because your sabre's edges where a bit jagedy and the blur takes it away.

When you click render, click blur lightsword only models. Then, set the blur to about 2. Heres a pic-

yay! You used my crappy plugin!
Do the blur thing like brettsta said
Make your saber a little bit wider
lightbulb on the hilt of the saber
orange lightbulb on fire, to make it give off light...etc.
Donno if you were curious, but what i burnt when making that plugin was a papertowl and index cards...
