Hey everyone eho has download chromanator. I thought it would be a good idea for me to make a section for people to post there short tests with chromanator, so that a million short clips dont get caught in the cinema. Feel free to post your tests and comments smile

I am currently recording footage for a flash intro to my new site, and Chromanator will come in handy for it so expect it online tomorrow. Will be a great opportunity to test out Chromanator.

Rmw-Hey that was great i think it has motivated me enugh to get out of the chair and shoot a small test.

I set up greenscreen in my basement like a day ago and it sucks. This will realy be a quite a test for the great Chromanator.

Here's my first test, Done quickly so the mattes are not really good. By spending a lot more time this could be made near perfect. Tricky to do with camera movement which is why you don't see a lot of moving camera sky replacement shots. AS I learn to use the program I'll get a lot better with this kind of stuff.

It is a garbage matte doing sky replacement. All three shots are the same scene: Original, enhanced blue sky with clouds, and backlit sky,

I used terragen to make the skies. In the backlit sky I used Chtomanator grading to darken the orginal highway shot.

Windows Media 512k stream. 3.3 megs

Please donwload, do not stream:

Heres my little test, using a level from Super Mario Bros! CHromanator and a new effect I made for AlamDV is in it. Note that my greeenscreen is beyond bad.

Quicktime 6MB, Sorenson 3 Codec

Quictime, Sorenson 3 codec with camera pan

Tell me what you think of it.

Here is a simple test I did. I used garbage mattes to create this effect. I know it's nothing really special, and my suggestion to you: do not try to follow what the characters are saying...it really doesn't matter. smile

Please ignore the white area surrounding the tiny video source...It is only like that because Chromanator cannot yet accept 320x240 video, and I am having technical difficulties with my stable camera at the moment. That is my webcam, and I expect to have me Canon XM2 to be working soon! [I have to get a new firewire cable biggrin]

Feedback much appreciated!

Oh, and Brettsta - Great Job! That is very good! Could you possibly post the original? Thanks, and keep up the good work!

Where did I draw the Garbage Mattes?

Hmm, I don't think I quite understand the question.

Do you mean in placement on the video?
Ahh, I guess so biggrin, smart me...

I had it placed along the left side of the right guy.

I got this using andrewtheactormans original shot. There is one big inverted garbage matte around him with a little color difference key and spill supression. It came out decent.

Quicktime Sorenson 3 Codec

Andrewtheactorman, any tips on how you did yours so well?

You know, i really dont know how i did it biggrin

I just used color diff key, and selected green, spill suppression, and garbage mattes for things not green.

Here is another chromanator test, 2 files, orignal and chromanatized. It would look better with an animated background and if I put a fan on me I know, but I wasn't able to. It is an idea to expand on, using skimboards to fly. Cool street chasing scenes would be cool, eh.

Original, Quicktime

With Chromanator, Quicktime

USA Quicktime

Me On Mars, BEFORE Quicktime

Hello all. I'm new to this site messaging wise, and (it sounds quite stupid) redface , but I need to know how to get a link to one of my video (greenscreen) clips onto a message. That would be a huge help.

Thanks biggrin

You need to get your video onto a webite, & then post the link of thevideo here.
