Water ripple

I think a cool plugin could be ripples that can be overlayed on water for when fake rain hits it, or if you want to walk on water using chromanator. Im thinking of a straght on and side view of ripples moving out. Maybe with a transparency slider to blend it in to your pictures more easily.

You do realise that if you're filming real water then all you have to do is spray a hosepipe at it or throw some stones in. If you're talking about overlaying onto stills it probably wouldn't work because water is such a difficult thing to match up (Reflection, colour etc.)

Exactly, when I wanted that effect in a film it wasn't raining. So what we made the film anyway, despite we wanted it to be raining.
Then a day after it was pissing down with rain, so I went out and shot several angles of water hitting different objects, and ripples in puddles.

i dont live near water (except my pool whcih is closed) so I don't have the option of filming it directly. Also, I do not care about the reflection and color and such. I just thought it would be a good add.
