Everything on that lis is a must see for me except The Punisher. Im soo sick of these superhero movies. Spiderman has been the only one that iv enjoyed so far. Also, Van Helsing has better be extremely long if thgey are going to fit in all that action.

the only movies that i think will be good in 2004 are Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow . nothing else is getting me excited. maybe if Farhiet 9/11 comes out. i think this will be a horrible year for movies as a whole

Wow. I think this will be a pretty good year for movies. Last year certainly was. Besides, it's only January. We haven't even heard of the majority of films that will be released.

I doubt that's all that's coming out. Maybe no major blockbusters, but now that the matrix and LOTR are done with, there won't be anything really major like that for a while, I'd bet. Still a lot of good stuff.

Hey, they nicked the music from SG1 for that sky captain trailer (which looks rubbish by the way). I hate it when they do that. twisted How many film trailers have there been with either the stargate music or the Alains music.

Grrrr!

I can't think of any trailers right now that took music from Stargate, come to think of it. And they do that because when the trailer comes out, the score of the movie probably isn't done, so they have to have some sort of music, so they borrow someone elses. Lots of trailers do it, so it isn't old or anything.

Daredevil is probably the worst comic book made in recent history. The Punisher had an AWESOME teaser, but the trailer looks like just another action movie. John Travolta spouts some pretty stereotypical lines in there.

The X-Men and Spiderman movies definitely top the list though, not even Bulletproof Monk can beat them!

Hulk was better than Spiderman. But Punisher will suck. And don't ever speak of daredevil again. Ever.

The X-Men films are the best comic-to-film films

Daredevil - bad

spiderman - OK

Xmen - excellent

First 2 Batmans - EXCELLENT

last Batmans - erm...*long pause*

yeah...

More Accurate....

Daredevil - A Disgrace to the name of comic books. Bad
Spiderman - It's fun the first couple times, but gets old. Good
Hulk - Beautiful film, if it wasn't for certain things it'd be better than X2. Better
X2 - Best comic to movie translation yet. Genius. Best

For my money -

Batman - superb

Batman Returns - superb (although probably not such a good Batman film)

X-Men - good effort, cool first half, but very weak action and 2nd half

Daredevil - one of the worst films of its year

Hulk - daring, risky, flawed. Very good except for the terrible last act

X2 - superb. The X-Men team learnt from all their mistakes, improved everything and really did themselves proud.

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen - I haven't yet got the courage to risk watching this yet.

Blade & Blade 2 - love 'em both, although I'm not familiar at all with the source

Superman - superb (despite plain silly ending)

Superman sequels - erm, never mind eh

Spider-Man - excellent stuff, despite silly Goblin costume. Focused on character, which is where the core of the Spidey comic lies

i know Daredevil was not that close to the comic books but i still really liked the movie

Batman - crap love the comic books tho

X-Men - super coolness

Hulk - good but the end sucked

X2 - super coolness (better then 1)

Blade & Blade 2 - defently near the top of my list

Superman - worst pick for lex luthor!!! but other than that ok

Spider-Man - number 1 comic film

are you serious? i dont want to sound like a film snob (because I hate nothing more) but what was there to like about the hulk? I thought that the first 15 - 20 minutes were a little interesting, but it was all downhill from where the hulk actually came into light.

Did anyone else notice the little CG glitch in the hulk where you can see through him for a second? Reminds me of a bad graphics engine in a video game.

Also, one of the movies that I'm looking forward to seeing is the butterfly effect. The previews on tv don't make it look too good, but from looking at the full trailer, it looks like its gonna be pretty good.

I think x2 is the best comic adaptation - used to love the series too...

I also think hulk RULED except for the cool, but totally out of place and random ending...

Wasn't overly keen on spiderman, however, i'm hoping spiderman 2 will rule, as he is one of the coolest marvel characters...

I am also very curious kungfukid, if you are anything like the star wars kid? razz

That one doesn't work for me. The Burly Brawl one is really well made, just look at when he is spinning.... in the priginal, he didn't spin like that! How did they do it?, also, notice how the Smith's in front are masked out frame by frame, and motion blur is added too!... pretty spiffy.

This years MONSTER looks absolutely stunning. Charlize Theron is one of those blond acttresses you wouldnt think about taking a role like this but she is also a producer in the movie so she mustve wanted this part bad! but i have read reviews and i hear it is very well done. i cant wait to see it personally

I haven't seen it out yet. Theron won a golden globe for best actress, but I can't help but think it's only because she made herself look ugly. I haven't seen it yet, but once I do, I hope I'm proven wrong.
