I haven't used alam in a while, and when I just messed with it the other day, it would just hang on a white screen whenever I tried to import footage. Sometimes it takes like five minutes to import it, but it'll have the error "director player etc..." after it. If I click yes, there's just an empty rectangle the size of my footage with no buttons or anything at the bottom, just the normal "file, edit, movie, etc..." buttons at the top. It's as if nothing was even opened. I have my monitor in 32 bit and I reinstalled alam once already. Same problem keeps occuring. The file I'm trying to import is full quality NTSC quicktime DV which is something that has worked for me in alam in the past. What should I do? (Oh, and my computer is plugged in)

The footage is on an external harddrive. I'll try moving it - just read the thread above.

Yeah, I've had that problem. I was importing footage from a FireWire drive. Putting it on my main drive made Alam happy.

Same - fixed problem - didn't fix problem of my main drive being full and having to move stuff around, but it worked, nonetheless.
