I'm doing little movies with spaceships like Starwars and things like that. I want the ship to fly arouind the screen. That's the easy part. Does anyone know how to make a ship turn within the screen? The angle of the ship doesn't change so turning doesn't look right. All I can do now is have them "turn" outside the frame. What do I do?

AlamDV is not 3d software, so you cant turn the angle at all. You can make em go over the screen and flip horizonally, but thats the only way to make em do that without it looking gross.

Yu can request the maker of the plugin maybe to make the same thing that starts the way you have yours, turns, and ends the way that the normal plugin is so you can continue the flight...

If you tell me which spaceship it is and which angles etc you need I can probably fix up a plugin for you.

I don't exactly have a single plugin, but the Star Wars ones in general. It would be excellent to get 3 different kinds of turning plugins, and I think it would help a lot of people out.
1: A side view of a ship going across the screen left to right so it doesn't look like a flash movie.
2: A back or front view where the ship turns to a side view left and right.
3: Back or front view going up or down.

If we could get those, space movies made with AlamDV will get a lot better.

Thaats why space ship movies arent meant to be made with alamdv, but a 3d program. The effects are meant to be alamdv.

But there are people out there who cannot obtain a 3D program which they are comfortable using easily. It's not worth learning Blender if all you want is a few shots of some ships to enhance their Star Wars film. However, if you're going to begin making 'Proper' films to put on this site (with planning, a script etc.) I would advise you to PM someone who may be able to animate the entire shot for you instead of making an endless stream of plugins for every eventuality. I would be happy to offer any help I can animating shots for you or anyone else who would like help in making a 'proper' movie (limited though my skills are!) Just think before you start your next project: "Can I get by with a few plugins or should I PM someone to see if they can do all the 3D work in the shot?" that way people will not get annoyed when you keep asking for 'One-use plugins.'

Seeing as there are so many Star Wars Ships in the plugins section it would help me out if you could say if there are any particular ones you think could be used.

Yes and thats why I gett annoyed when people say things against 3d plugins and stuff. Many people including me cant get a 3d program and I dont know blender well, but I though he wanted to and say click or dragthe ship so that it turns around, which alamdv cant do that.

I didn't mean to offend anyone. 3d programs are foriegn to me, but I'd like to learn them, like blender. As for specific ships to turn, just the classics, like X-Wings, and TIES.

Hi there, as speaking on 3d graphics I am doing some space ship movie and needed a cockpit for some interior scenes. Now after much searching I managed to get to a site and found some space crafts halls and briges. The problem is that I have 3ds max and I managed to import the models in Max but I am unable to go through the graphig and find myself inside the cockpit so that I amy use that particular scene. Any help much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
