This film is a ridiculous action/comedy. We filmed it in the middle of summer 2002. I think we shot it in about an hour before we went to a party with no script. We just wanted to do some John Woo type action. We edited it while we were filming (you can see the computer in the background in the end). Enjoy - it's meant to be laughed at so if you find humour, it's intentional.

What more can i say. The part at the end with they guy said 'He-he just kept on shootin' me constimately' was the best, awesome little flick. would give you a 4.5 but since there isnt one... 5 will do biggrin

Heh, it had some quite funny moments in and some of the shots were really good, the sound however was really bad... I could hardly hear anything that was said... I didn't really understand what was happening.. then I realised I wasn't meant too.

A rather fun movie if nothing else. Shame about the sound, woulda not made me question it so much smile

Cool though.

Yea, remember this was done about 2 years ago, and we didn't have the luxury of mics and all the cool equipment we now have. Sound sucked cause we shot this on a JVC camera (one of the first ever). I sweetened it as much as possible (better gun sounds, etc...) but I couldn't save the voices cause it was a quicktime file and the music was already laid down. Anyway sorry about the sound, but I couldn't do much to save it - it's still funny though, right!?! Hehe

Great! The shimmy-shimmy-harlem-death-shake was worth the fourth star. I knock off one though for what the rough editing job cost you, despite you yourself saying it was something random done for kicks.

I'm sorry, but gimmicks don't do it for me. The whole flippety hippety of the guns and the "dancing" (read: randomly contracting and retrancting of muscles) aren't really interesting. I just can't really say anything good about the movie...

Oh, and "constimately" isn't word, you might want to change that in later releases.

Honestly, ajjax, I haven't been a fan of your last few movies. I'm not sure what it is, but I know with this one. In my opinion, there's nothing that separates this from any other mindless shooting movie on this site. Except, maybe the little dying dance, and the fact that you can BARELY hear the dialogue, and the sound effects are far too loud. I'm sorry, but I can't really understand what all the fuss is about. We made a movie a long time ago called Action Movie, and it was quite similar to this, except not white versus black, just a guy killing everyone. It had some corny gags, you know, all that stuff. It got some 5's here and there, but it certainly never made it close to being in the top ten. That was with the old rating system though, but anyway... I sometimes think that people who watch movies here have had their standards lowered or something. It's just very interesting to me that a film that really doesn't stand out in my mind from the majority of the others is this popular. It's not my place though. Three stars anyway.

Basic summary.

3 minutes of unfortunate sound. The latter also featured short bursts of airsoft gun featuring footage. (im guessing you had just gotten them and wanted to get them in a film. any film). this was not the film to try them in. apparently, there was also a need to feature samurai swords for no apparent reason.(just as in matrix fanfilm, which had that far extended sequence of sword katas). after seeing your other movies that are heading somewhere, i certainly hope that this wasnt filmed recently, or else i would have to wonder...

Man...sorry you didn't like it but It's old. It's also meant to be a joke, and we didn't even know about this site before we made it - so how could we have known it wouldn't "stand out". Anyway, we can't please everyone. I just hope you enjoy our next films.

AJ

PS: The constimately thing was an inside joke making fun of Mike Tyson.

Come to think of it....if Constimately isn't a word....neither is "flippety hippety...." - mind if I use that one in my next movie? smile

I do agree though - sound sucked (due to crappy camera - that luckily was run over by a car a year later). Also, this IS just another shoot-em up. Nothing special - but that's all we were doing. We knew when we were making it that we didn't have enough time to make an actual film with a story - we made this 2 hours before a party. We just had fun dong it, that's all. Most people I show it too seem to laugh at it so I thought I'd post it since it's one of our older films that seems to still hold it's own with most audiences. There are tons of mistakes in it (look at the bar and who's behind it and what's on it....so many mistakes) Also people get shot more than once...but oh well it was a screw-around film that we made up on the spot.

Bravo. Excellent work, I like the editing quite a bit. Cutting to everyone reloading their weapon at the same time was a nice touch.

Yuo certainly know how to do action very well and your movies have very good camera work.

I think we can all learn a lesson from your movies.

what did you guys do? Make all of your friends vote high on this piece of crap? There's one part where the white guy was shooting another guy and when he stopped shooting, the guy getting shot still acted like he was getting shot! Whoever said this movie was good was either high, drunk, or paid to say that. That's bull! It's sad that other good movies aren't rated that high and a bad movie is.

Actually, what's sad is that you took time out of your day posting nonsense like this. I'm only returning the favor because I have an educated guess about who you are. Grow up. This isn't the way to react after being caught doing something stupid. If our films don't please you, make your own and get over it.

Heya billy. Glad u liked it. Can't remember name of song played before the dance - some techno song my friend composed. It's not mainstream. The song he's dancing to "Holla Back (Yung'n)" by Fabolous - (the dance was a reference to the music video for that song - which pretty much started the harlem shake phenomenon) - AJ

I liked that, pretty cool stuff to say it was a stoopid little joke movie, by people mucking about with guns just before they got hammered. But it sure beats the hell out of almost every other movie on this site.

The "Constimately" bit was the funniest part. 4 stars. Keep 'em coming.

Yet another f'n hilarious film by the LEGENDARY Cobra Productions!

I like the Harlem Shake your actor did as he died. Good use of the audio to compliment the video (i.e. the music stopping as the lead protagonist enters the room & the Neptunes beat). And nice touch putting AlamDV on the computer the background. Its all about the proper product placement!

How did you guys do the "John Wooesque" gun throws? I'm assuming you just had someone throw the gun from below the person and kept the person out of the shot. I'm trying to do a version of that myself, but wasn't sure the right way to do it.

Your reputation preceeds you, gentlemen. I only wish to improve in my films as you guys have done over the past years.

If this is true, ". I think we shot it in about an hour before we went to a party with no script."I'm very impressed. Filmed it in AN HOUR! I difficult for me to do that well in 3 days. You have a great group. I like the cinematography in the beginning. Nice, very nice feel. The camera guy did a great job-I don't think he got any credit in the comments. I know how hard it is to act and you all did relatively well except when the guy (holding the M16) said, "move". The white dude had good movement EXCEPT at the very end when he jumped over the chair. The very end was kinda weak-starting when he jump over the chair. I do realize that it was nothing serious, it was old footage, and perhaps it wasn't meant to be scrutinized. Forgive me if I over scrutinized it.

You did succeed in making me laugh several times. The dance and the very end line made me laugh. Everything else I really liked. AGAIN, I am impressed of the skills, the feel, camera movement, and all was done in a short amount of time. You all didn't deserve some of the harsh comments you had in the "Reviews and Comment" section. I'm glad you released it. Man! you guys go skillz.

Rudy,

Once again thanks for the comments, I wrote back to ur comments in the matrix: untold forum, and I'll be looking for ur films as soon as I can. As far as the john woo gun throws - u hit the nail on the head. We had a person throw them up to us from below. It took about 3-4 takes to get both of them right, but it was worth the humor in the long run.

Cyborg,

Nah, u didn't overscrutinize - come on man I wasn't wearing any shoes!!! (Let alone socks!) lol, yea the couch thing was weak. You were right about that. As far as the cinematography - it was whoever wasn't on screen that shot that baby. We all had a hand in it. Thanks for the comments.

xOver1de,

The internet. www.jungletoy.com - they have the cheapest (but not necessarily best quality) fake weapons there. I bought some of them at airsoftatlanta.com and airsoftarms.com as well.

Sincerely,

A.J. Rickert-Epstein
