Some of you may have noticed a few problems with accessing FXhome.com. Unfortunately, it would seem that a hard drive that keeps the FXhome server running is beginning to fail. This is clearly a serious matter and the faulty equipment needs to be replaced immediately so that we don't suffer any data loss.

Malone has instructed the colo technicians to replace the faulty drive ASAP. As we only have the one server FXhome.com will be temporarily unavailable whilst they get the system back online. The other problem is that they will put a fresh OS install on the drive, which will mean having to spend some time reinstalling and reconfiguring all the software we use.

Malone has already devised a cunning plan and if it works then the server should only be offline for a few hours. If the plan does not go quite as smoothly as hoped, we could be down for a few days.

Sorry for any inconvenience this will cause. Everything will be back to normal as soon as possible!

Oh dear... but if it has to be done, it has to be done.

Hope it works out the way you want.

Is the cunning plan as as cunning as a fox whose professor of cunning at Oxford University?

It should be all fixed now. Our little server technicians did a pretty quick job so I'm pleased. The new drive is whirring away as all the fxhomers start pounding on it again.

I've tried to configure everything the way it was before. But theres a lot of little parts to the fxhome website so I might have missed one or two things. So if you spot any glitches come find me on the chat or drop me a pm, thanks.

Sorry for the downtime

Little server technicians? Are they considered part of the CSB Digital team? or are they your slaves? I think an explanation is in order.

Think Malone is playing his role down a bit, sure some guy changed over HDs and stuff for us in America, but Malone is the one that installed and got all our bits and bobs working again in record time. Thanks Malone.
