Hi,

Following the Bafta Awards i think FXhome should run a sort of award thing for people that have made exceptional movies and fxhome people can vote on which one the think is the best. Prizes could include a badge saying fxhome award winner or more force.

What do you think of this idea or has it been thought up before?

Slick, if you're leaving cryptic messages like that, telling people to PM you, why not just tell us what you "know" in here? That makes more sense to me.

This has been though about and actually been done...but the result was unsuccesfull. The reason could have been not enough advertising and notice about it. Although it is planned this year that we will try it again..now what was it called OZ Fest...my company Rush Multimedia had taken over the idea from the original creator. We only recieved about 8 entries and it just wasn't enough to let it run. There was a $100US award and free hosting for a year. Now i'm thinking that this year when we take the second shot at it we will change some rules around and make it more of a nomination type thing for fxhome. Meaning judges will look around the film and nominate them or users can nominate films on a vote type system. Than we will have an awards night possibly via online radio and there could be a number of prizes depending on what we can do for sponosors. If we were to open this up to more than fxhome and to more indpendent filmmakers I'm sure we could not only have a better turn out but have more support for this such as sponosors to give prizes. Maybe some people can help me out and we can get started on a site soon for 2004 nominations and at the end of the summer we can have the awards although some great deal of planning must be done before we put our hopes up. We need support and volunteers.

If so, it would probably be better to club your resources to have a better chance of it getting off the ground

Slick I don't mind the "cryptic" messages so much as I am bugged by your sig pic that says "He's waching you" instead of "He's watching you", just me being anal probably.
