Well done dude. This trailer is alot better then the others. Do like the sound, it works well with my sound booster boxes. But either try to put the volume of the narrators voice higher or make the music in background a lil softer. I would just try to put the n. voice sound thing higher. It disturbes a lil' bit when suddenly the music gets softer so that one can hear what the narrator is saying.
Except fot that minor critic i think this is one of the best trailers on this site.

Yo, well done.

cheers devilskater

ssjaaron - The name of the song is Tarwawa. Thanks for the comments. Ha, and yea this movie has been out for a while. I had made this trailer and put it on the site the same time we uploaded the actual movie but for some reason no1 ever saw it and then it got deleted out of nowhere, i think it was from the server probs or whatever. They said they didnt even have any record of this film ever being in the cinema, weird but o well ha.

devilskater - Thanks man for the comments and suggestions. Yea sometimes the audio with the V.O. (my mom haha) bugs me but o well, when i blast the volume i can hear it ha. This is prob one of the best trailers that ive put 2gether i think and im glad you liked it man.

This is a really great and professional looking trailer. I felt it was well made and edited. Nice job! What did you do for that gunshot where the smoke came out? I thought it was flour in an airsoft gun, but then I though it looked different. It looked cool.

Hey thanks Brettsta. The smoke that came from the gun was the gas that you put in the airsoft gun to make it work. When you just fill it, the first couple shots that you take with the gun will have smoke that comes out. Its pretty cool.

tip for trailers:
try to make the clips a little bit longer
the length for each was kinda abrupt
made me dizzy

I disagree. My tip for action trailers: Watch this

Action trailers should be very fast past, go with the music etc

Well, it was ok. Better than most, for sure. I didn't think it reflected the actual film well. I remember watching it and liking it. But this trailer is a little slow in places. I have to agree that quicker edits would be very welcome. And more unrecognisable footage, i.e. passing shots that make sure that what you see in the trailer isn't all you're gonna get. I didn't explain that last bit very well, but it kinda makes sense.

Anyway, secondly - devilskater's points are fair enough. But what the narrator's voice needs is:

1. Compressor to make the voice sit at a constant volume
2. Not more volume but EQ-ing nearer the bass end, i.e. 160-220Hz. And some pushes in 5-8kHz.
3. A noisegate to cut out the noise that was underneath the recording of the narrator. Very common practice.

Those will make your narrator stand out more. And yes, the music does have to be dipped. But with the above points taken into account, it won't have to be by much. Hope this helps.

Adam.

*sighs*

its ok. but its just so....cliche. Sorry. I'm just totally non-plussed by it.

I know you've put a load of effort into it, and i'm sure the finished product will be awesome, but if theres one thing thats increasingly p*ssing me off in trailers on FXHome, its all that pretentious posturing.

Interminably long shots of random actors trying to look hard / cool / schmooth etc does not an intriguing trailer make.

When the action finally kicked off, my attention was briefly captured, but not for long. Given that 2/3 of the film was a self-obsessive wallow in your own desires to be neo, look cool and swing swords around slowly enough for it to be construed as 'suave confidence'; the brief spate of action did little to quash my apathy.

Nicely done with the blowback guns and getting smoke etc, not badly done with the bullet time, rather poorly done with the muzzle flashes in the same scene, tho - too weak.

Also, on another note, the cinematography was really well done, and the music fit really well, not blatant and obviously, really subtely and backroundish. somehow, you guys managed to get the lighting almost perfect (allthough the camera got some grain)making the shadows highlighted, but not so much that you cant see a friggin thing. Again, good job

I thought this was a great movie. The fights were awesome. I just have one question....Where did you get you guns? I've been looking for some to use in my movies, I'm looking for a good substitute for real ones. So if you could help me out I'd appreciate it. Thanks

The only reason I gave it a 4 was because the voice over was way too quiet. The cinematography, however, was definatly decent, with 98% of the shots composed properly. B+ =)

nice preview. 4 from me. The voiceover was too quiet and one or two shots were off or didn't fit. Cool nontheless.

Hey thanks a lot psychedelic. Heres a link for you to see the actual movie. It used to be on the site but we took it down. It came out about 2 years ago so its a little bit of our older work. Not up to par with some of the stuff we do now.

Thanks again though man.

We used a Canon ZR-40 for this film. (The new model of this camera is now a ZR100). As for the guns and swords, we just bought the swords at a flea market/trading post place near our house. The guns were bought online - from an airsoft gun site. Thanks for your support! Glad you liked the trailer. We actually just shot the sequel to this tonight. It should be out soon. It's written and directed by Vonzell Carter.

Yeah, Vonzell (Connor from Daywalker) is taking this on. Me and AJ are just playing roles. We'll be out with some new stuff coming up later this summer.
