The trailer really didn't tell us anything about the movie, and I disliked the lack of sound during the begining titles. Also, it seems kinda strange to name your movie "Epic Classic" when it is neither an epir nor a classic. There might be some connection to the title in the actual movie, but there wasn't even a hint of the reason for the title in the trailer.

well this is what I got from the trailer: This is not going to be a movie based around the shooting, but rather on the man himself and how it effects him ( I got this from the music, the slow mo, the title, and the man watching the kids playing) this movie however is not entirley void of action (got this from the dead man in the ten, and the man swinging at the camera) so I come away with the impression of its being an Action/Drama.
I wrote all that because some others have said that your trailer should have more story, so if what I wrote was right and it is an Action/Drama then I think you tell a sufficient amount of the plot, however if Im WAY off then the plot is probably lost on the entire audience.
Anyway, I think that the purpose of a trailer is to intrigue the audience into wondering what is going on, then they will watch the movie to find out, the purpose of a trailer is not to tell the story but to get an audience (otherwise its just a spoiler) so you could have pink bunny rabits in slippers hopping around in front of the camera, and if that sparked the curiosity of people to go watch your movie then you have acheived your purpose. Of course you have to be careful to attract the right audience however, because if your trailer brings in a bunch of 4 year-olds to a Rambo movie then your in for a bunch of enraged parents. All that goes to say, be creative, make strange or interesting trailers that stand out from the millions of others and when someone goes to watch a movie, the name of yours will pop into their mind biggrin

Spell "coming" correctly and put an apostrophe in "man's".

Otherwise, your trailer was utterly boring. At no point in your incoherent visuals did you even come across a rational thought. I award you no points and may God has mercy on your soul.

(Billy Madison was on television this weekend so I had to do it, sorry.)

Thanks for your input. It's been helpful and you're close on the story. I will have another trailer up soon. And the movie should be completed within the next week.

And you should deinterlace your footage. Cause it looks really ugly when uninterlaced frames are visible...

I liked the titles redface

That wasnt a good trailer because it didnt show anything about the movie. The whole thing was titles with 2 quick shots. That doesnt give us any info on the movie. I just didnt understand what you were getting at

The New Trailer is pretty cool! Well done. The only thing I dont like is the voiceover. I think unless you have the guy who does it for pro movies, it doesnt sound good. Just my opinion though. Also, you can see the guys hand in his sleeve when the blood squirting out. Good job on the blood and blood squirts. How did you do them?

Thanks for the feedback. I made the blood splatter on face with fake blood placed in a spray bottle. The hand blood squirt was made with an air pump. I filled the tube with the blood and had someone from my crew pump the blood out.

I liked the start with the narration, but then it moved on to show what semed random acts of violence.

Unlike the other user, I didn't get much from this; okay, it's about revenge but from the trailer it looks as if you're going for over the top shocks rather than a plot.

Some of the chroma keying was good, in other places it wasn't - e.g. about 30 seconds in you can see the faint transparent head of the guy who's meant to be headless.

I liked the swinging weapon towards the camera, with the liberal use of fake blood over the guy's face/glasses - a good iconographic image.

I suspect I will like the final film more, especially if it's a send-up of the violent film genre, but I can't tell much from this.

You are right. I don't want to give away the movie but there is not much of a plot. The entire film is about 3 minutes.

Well I'm not that familiar with Final Cut Pro 3 but i know 4 pretty well. Try this and see if I'm right. Go to your Effects bin and look for "Video" and select De-Interlace and pick either Lower or Upper field.

PEACE OUT...

Okay. From the top -

It looks nice - its sharp and well framed, and fairly tightly edited but ...

Somehow I doubt that is is, as you claim on your site, the film for which America has been waiting.

Sound editing is awful. The crash of the window and the noise of disturbed glass sound pasted on (poorly), and the chord that plays on the zoom on the ball sounds like a Windows chord. Bad.

Just speeding things up never made Benny Hill funny and its not working for you either, I'm afraid.

Congratulations on what must be the most irritating music ever.

Bit pointless overall as far as I'm concerned, I'm afraid. You did ask ...
