Dear All, Please help!

I am currently editing light swords, and when I place a light sword in a frame, I don't seem to get keyframes or yellow bars appearing in the animation timeline. The program does change to animation mode, and I can manipulate the object, I just get no ability to manipulate over frames. I have followed the tutorial, and it seems to expect the yellow bars to appear automatically.

I am sure I am just doing somethig stupid, advice gratefully received.

No keyframes at all are appearing as you move the quad? That is indeed strange...can you show us a screenshot of what you are seeing?

Ah, I think I see the problem here.

The timeline only shows a few frames at a time. The area that is being shown of the movie is shown by the orange bounding box on the main timeline scrubber. The orange bar, in the middle of the same scrubber, shows your current frame. As you can see, the timeline is at a very different place than where you are editing.

If you hit the 'Home' button, it should focus the timeline on the current frame.
