Hello all,

I think it would be really neat to have intros for Alamdv and Chromanator, sort of like you see at the beginning of movies with THX and such. There could be a contest to see who could create the best one, and the winning videos would be hosted on Fxhome for people to download in full DV quality (PAL and NTSC).

Obivously, anyone could put these at the beginning of their movies, but these would also be great advertising for people who submitted their movies to film festivals and such.

There would probably have to be a few rules, such as no copyrighted music. I really don't know much about all that, I just thought of this idea and thought I should share it. I personally would love to have intros like this, so post below with comments or suggestions. Thanks!

No, like intros showing that you used Alamdv or Chromanator in the movie. Like, the text "Alamdv" fades in, then a lens flare goes across the screen, revealing the text "Made with" above "Alamdv". Something like that.

I think he means like the scope intro you know? Like when one of cypher's movies comes on it has the scope thing. Well, if people used alamdv in their movie they could put a 'created using alamdv3' thing at the beginning of their film, or something like that.

It would be important with such an idea to spell Chromanator correctly. wink

I like that Lloyd.. Looks good. Tarn, if we put something like that in the video, that counts as crediting fxhome, right?

I should imagine so. Of course, this kind of thing could go at the start or end of a movie. As long as the credit is clear, I don't think it matters too much exactly how you do it - to my mind a cool animated-type thing like Lloyd is suggesting is much cooler than a simple line in the credits anyway. smile

Yeah, I suggested this sort of because I want to put an Alamdv logo like that at the beginning a movie I'm doing at school, but I don't want to create something myself that wouldn't be very good.

Maybe they can have a little spot in the submit film section, saying that to credit the programs, you can put these files somewhere during your film. Then there is a chromanator one, and alamdv one, and a combo one of both.

I thought this was a great idea, so Lloyd, I took your basic idea and improved upon it. Here's my version:

I have a good idea for one. I think that'll be the next one I make.

EDIT: Here's one for DigiGrade.

DigiGrade Logo

I had to create my own little cog thing because the only logo I could find was the mini one on the main page. I basically re-created the Chromanator logo as well... Hope no one minds. confused

Whoa, those are really good Aculag!

Of course, if someone uses all 3 in a film, then there should be a combined one or something like that. But i wouldnt mind puting all 3 at the start/end of a film, just that it would take up quite a bit of time. You know what im saying?

Yeah, marek. You could speed it up too. Instead of having the intro, just have the logo flying back and the text fade in. But yeah.

I have been forced to make my own logos in photoshop and illustrator, since the ones on the site aren't big enough. That's why it's a bit different than the actual ones.

I'm going to make a zip file of all the logos, with the Fxhome logo. They'll be pretty high quality, so it'll probably be a big file. I'll post a link later on.

Well, I have an idea, but it's not as though I'll be animating a human turning into an ape... That'd be hard. But I have an idea. I can give it a shot. I'll PM you when I've got it.
