You could always use paintballs. (not the proper, dangerous ones)
You can but painballs that are designed for BB guns that way if you had say 2 guys shooting with bb guns you'll have a pretty rapid rate of fire.

Digital effects are no substitute for the real thing.

This really is annoying to me.

THe program is AlamDV, NOT AlarmDV. Its a matter of simple reading.

You'd show your passion much more by taking the time yourself to do the effect in real life. It's not like it would cost a lot of money anyway. But, you could easily do it in real life for cheap and it would look infinately better than an alam effect added in post.

I was going to mention that but thought better of it. Some guy I used to chat to (now a member of this community) used to always call it
Alarm even when I said several times that there is no r.

Seriously though Marek is right, any combination of plugins will look very CGI. Anyway, you could still do the effect.

If I was filming a scene with muiltiple bullet hits:
The actor is sideways to the camera
A bullet hits him in the front and blood is sprayed from the wound in slow motion.
CUT TO:
The actor's front.
He looks horrified and another bullet hits (more blood)
Bullets now begin to hit in realtime as the gunman lets rip (All of these hits are suggested by a small puff of smoke and/ or a ripple in the guy's shirt.

This can be recreated using the method in the above link because in between the two blood hits there is a cut where you can reset the effect.

mmmprod, you can never make a good bloodsplat with digital effects! if you could there would be alot of them already, topics like this come up all the time... If a bullethit would look good you need some sort of liquid that would stay on the clothes, just take your time and do a bullet hit as the site mentioned above! take that time or rewrite your script so you don't need to do a bullethit! making a movie isn't that easy and you can't expect that computerprograms can do everything!

The cheaper version of these would be this:
http://fxhome.com/alamdv2/plugins/info_cache/plugin822.html

I'm guessing that you are not going to want to buy stock footage when you seem unwilling to buy practical effects.

Didn't you read that? He gave a link to a good smoke plug-in for AlamDV.
