Could we have backdrops for people who would like to make Indiana Jones type movies. For example, backgrounds of ancient egyptian chambers or inside other types of ancient temples like Aztec or Cambodian where the rooms have ancient paintings or writings on the walls? That would be cool.

This is interesting... Most of the background requests in this forum are people telling the other people to use Google image search... Which works if your making a home movie and plan not to show anyone. But let's say somone is working on a film for a festival or a for profit production and is looking for BG's and willing to pay via film credit. Is there anyway to get said back grounds? Because I for one am quite afraid of being sued for stealing another man/woman/child/herm's photograph of vid.

The curious one,
William

If that guy was making films for money, he would be saying "Can I have some backgrounds of temples?".

I, too, find it a little strange that the typical response to a backdrop request is "Look on Google Images/shoot it yourself." The description for this forum is "Request backdrop footage or images to use while compositing in Chromanator." His request was entirely reasonable for this forum and definitely did not deserve a -1. It's a shame that some people may be dissuaded from requesting backdrops that could be helpful to the entire community because of this trend.

Yeah, can be offputting being replied to every time with "search google", but it is with good reason. It is harsh being igven a -1 though. Oh well. Any people responding here to backdrop requests here will be searching google anyway.

Take the time to look through what searching for "temple" brings you - check through a few pages to see if anything meets your requirements

also, searching for "temple interior" brings up some nice matches too

I had a similar problem a while ago. I did find some good ones, I believe it was searching for "pyramid interiors". Hope this helps.

Hello,

If you look on Ebay sometimes you can find COREL stock photo disks from Egypt, Turkey, Greece, Thailand, etc.. that have lots of cool stock photos.
I have a couple of those disks that I paid only about 4.00 each for!
You have the right to use the images in your products when you own the disks. They are a good place to start in constructing "digital matte paintings"

No one asked for 'em, and my hard disk just failed, just lost everything. I was actually working on it. So uh, yeah... I uploaded some cave shots onto my server, I'll post in a bit for royalty free stock.

EDIT: I uploaded those for a project a guy was working on, I was giving them to him, he was being an arse so I removed them. They got deleted. So, the only hope is HD recovery. That however was a jack ass comment, seriously. If you really wanted it, you should have PM'd me, I would have sent them right away.

Sorry if it came out that way. It was written to be read a different way...or something. No harm, no foul, right?

P.S. Sorry about your HD. Mine was fried earlier this year and I lost a movie I had been editing and all the effects for it. 8 weeks work on one movie...gone. Hope you have luck if you try HD Recovery. mrgreen
