What's this? Someone who's never posted a movie before... Suddenly, from under the radar posts THIS!? Preposterous!

Great concept. The B&W was very nice. I'm guessing that since this was on Student Films, you're a student and have been schooled, but you did a great job here. You know your shots and use them well. Thank you for using a tripod. I can only think that I would have preferred to see this in a wide aspect ratio, but that's just me.

What did you use to do the cloning (it was cloning right? I only see one actor listed)? It was very effective.

One critique, I did not like the death in the bathroom. There was something about it that just didn't work for me.

Other than that, this is a very well put together piece. Gets 5 stars from me, and a place in my personal top ten. Bravo!

Interesting. Christopher "Memento" Nolan had a similar concept with a short film called Doodlebug.

Very good, well shot, weird, liked the sounds although the compression probably doesn't do them justice, I liked what you tried to do at the end, panning from all the dead bodies, but the camera was a little shakey...

lol yeh that last shot cuz we were only 2 people and we panned with a string tied to the actors foot. i am actually not a student, but my dad happened to like that website and submitted this movie to it. to do the cloning i used final cut pro and a big pink bag. it actually worked pretty well for a bag.

I accedently rated this a five, I did like the feel you gave this movie, it was consistant through out the hole thing. If you were going for the feel that I got from it then good job. I know I voted it five but I really think it's about a four. Oh well, you still got the five lol. One question though, that candle that was lit, did you mean to have it lit although no one was home? Also, did you mean to blow it out a second time or was that just an inconsistantcy. If not and you were just going for something then please explain it. lol I may just not be getting it.

the point is the two guys are the same guy. they are two sides of the same guy, and the only way he can finally kill this haunting persona off is to kill himself.

thats basically what we were going for. i duno how clear it is.

but the candle is first blown out by someone who doesnt exist. so, it wasnt blown out.

That was good. IT REALLY needed music in the backround though. That took away from it. Although it was hard to understand until your post on how it was the same guy. Try to make the storyline easier to understand next time.

I agree that it really could have used some music, and the pacing (in my oopinion) was a little slow. as for him making the story more clear, i disagree. even if i didnt understand it, i don't think you should make thing more clear for audience members who wouldnt get it, because it will be that much cooler to the ones who do. Im really confused on what to give this film. the acting was good, and the cinematography was great. but the pacing again, i thought was too slow for my tastes, which brings it down from a five to a four.

please don't make it easier to understand, because it is quite easy and makes your audience think. I liked this one. But then I agree on the sound issue... you could've used some thriller music everytime the original guy sees his imaginary clone.

When i said make it easier to understand. I didnt mean to like explain the whole movie out. I simply ment to give more hints just like the candel things that you did. In my opinion it would of just been a little better if there were more of those type things that made your think.

Good job. Nice cloning work, and also good shot angles. One thing, besides the music, that I think you could have done better, was to loop ambient sound whenever you took out the main audio track. Like when the guy was playing the piano, it just didn't sound right with just the piano music. But other than that, I liked it.
