when i export a clip from alam dv with effects against the color green, and reinsert them back into chromanator, the clip won't even play in chromanator (its just a blank screen), much less key out the green.

I ask because my lightsaber prop has a green blade. It was made that way and i needed to be able to see the blade when i was animating it.

Does anyone know why this happens?

What codec are you using to export from AlamDV?

Chromanator will read uncompressed (I'm presuming AVI or QuickTime). Does the clip you exported out run in Windows Media Player or QuickTime player? When you import it into Chromanator i trust you actually put the clip on the timeline wink

it runs in windows media player, and yes, ive tried putting it in the timeline and i even went into object mode to see if that changed it, but still, there was nothing there. It is an AVI file.

No prob. I dont know why it happens. Whenever I export avi, in premiere the preview of it is black, and same when I put it on the timeline. Mov always works no prob for me tho.

Same here. Usually stock footage off the internet.
