QUESTION: Masking capabilities

I have an idea for a short film that will be using a greenscreen where I need to be able to superimpose an actor on a scene with people or objects in it.
Is it possible to use Chromanator to exclude greenscreen areas - I'll try to give an example to make it a little clearer.
If someone was to appear to walk behind a car, is it possible to mask out an area so that even though the actor is walking in front of a green screen, where they overlap with the object, it would appear they were walking behind it.
I hope this is clear, but if not, let me know.

Read the manual. Yes its possible.
First thing is garbage mattes. GO to key, garbage mattes, and click the plus to get rid of parts in the greenscreen.
second thing - Its called standalone masks in chromy. You have to draw the new mask button in the timeline over your footage, make it as long as you want. Hold control(pc) or apple(macs) and select the file you want it to affct and the mask. Youd be drawing on the person walking. Then right click (control click on amcs) the mask and click link to footage. Now you can double clikc it and apply it just like a garbage matte. Draw around the car, click animate, and your set. You only see it final when itsrendered i think though.

This is pretty much exactly what Chromanator is built for (well one of the things). Over the next week Tarn will be uploading a selection of step-by-step tutorials which should help you with stuff like this.
