|This is just a small and rather hastily thrown together teaser for my upcoming western.|
A little under half the shooting (no pun intended) has been done so really this is just a taste of the final film.

Impressive Potman. I liked that a lot.
Sound Mix was a bit too loud and not really mixed.
4 out of 5 since its a teaser.

I agree with canta, but I have something to add.
You shouldn't use muzzle flashes for your gun shots here. You should use some sort of smoke jet or something. Guns back in the day wouldn't have a muzzle flash like that. Just nitpicking. Real good job otherwise.

I liked it. It reminded me to watch Open Range again.

I liked it. But I agree with what Aculag said. There is actually a plugin for AlamDV called the Black Powder Muzzle Flash... that's more what you'd be looking for.

I liked it. Some good shots in there definately, but I thought the sound mix was a little messy. I couldnt hear some parts, or understand what the guys were saying. Pretty well done.

I as well liked this allot. The music was really good and fit ( that is the song from KB vol.2 right? ) anyway, the filming locations and cinematography were really good too. Since this is a trailer the highest I feel that I can give it is a 3, but I really cannot wait to see the final product.

Well looks like people are enjoying the teaser so i am happy.
The true trailer will be out in a month (after we have filmed the bar scene)
As for the muzzle flashes, I was unsure if it was just a smokey blast or a full bright blast. Now i know, thanks.
Waser; The music is from Ennio Morricone and it is the final gun battle music from Good Bad and the Ugly.

Well i hate to say it but often good things take time......
I would like it to be done sooner as well
But the next few scenes require about 20 people as extras and to get a time that fits for everyone and costumes and fake chairs.....its all hard work. But the final product (out in about 3 months) will be better than if we rushed things.
I am tempted to put up a full scene for people to see (as it flows better than the trailer) but don't want to give away to much of the story.
Still its good to see people are interested!!!
Just try to forget about the movie there Waser, then when it comes out it will be a huge surprise!!!

thats very true. there is a quote that is like "A good movie that takes a long time angries fans for only so long, while a bad movie is bad forever."
that quote is actually about videogames, but I just replaced "games" with "movies"

haha this is annoying and funny, i just finished a 5 part series called "the last prospector" which was filmed mostly in rural queensland in australia. I was impressed by your indoor locations and costumes. I would have put mine up sooner but only one episode has an alamdv effect, and its not in the trailer, but hey, you beat me to the punch. 4 from me, nice one!

I'm giving this a four because of your production quality. That's always tough to pull of with mini-dv projects.
I think you may have crossed-the-line in that first cut; if you know what I mean. It's subtle but still a little jarring as the camera starts right and suddenly jumps over-the-line to the left. Also, the gun reports sound a little too modern. Looking forward to the finished product.

That was pretty good. Your locations were believable, sounds need a little work (too loud), boom mic is possible, and tripod.
But overall, very nice.

Cheers Serpent, that would be gratefully appreciated! Unfortunately i'm in no position internet wise to send anything of any size to anyone and I don't have the trailer on me...
But when I get back home in about a month I will upload the latest trailer to Serpent and things should be all good, sorry about the delay.
