Wavy mirage on the horizon effect

Hi, I'm in need of a plugin to make a wavy mirage effect on the horizon (like in a hot desert). I would be very thankful if I could get this effect.

Alam DV2 is not the program to do that. If you wanted a plugin, it would have to be the same exact background for everyone who uses the plugin. Transparent things dont go over well in AlamDV2. My advice: Chromanator... biggrin biggrin biggrin

I don't think Chromanator can do distortion fields. Maybe in a later release, though. smile

Chromanator can directionally blur, but not distort. Try after effects.

With masking in chromy you can get a cool blur effect, but not really like a heat effect. That sounds like a digigrade filter, no?
