Punctuation is a fine thing. I highly recommend it. Just trying to sort out what you meant there. The effect is not inside the Quad? Or is is not where it should be on the Timeline? And when you say further along, do you mean the point is elsewhere in the frame, or that is is farther down the timeline? Is the difficulty you are having with the quad of the plug-in, or within the timeline?

Does it happen with all plug-ins, or with specific ones?

It's with every plug-in. The time line box is where my problem is, You know when you have an effect on edit. There are yellow lines and blue dots to move around to adjust the length of the plug-in. Well my blue dots are not where they should be. So my problem happens when i try to click on the blue dots it doesnt register me clicking on them. it works when i right click the length of the plug-in but the blue dot is still out of where it should be on the edit grid. sorry about punctuation before i was in a big rush.... does this make is clearer?

Yes, that is much clearer, thanks. I can't recall ever hearing of hat problem before; I'll see what I can find out for you.

Any chance you could provide a screenshot for us? If we could get a look at your timeline, we can get a clearer idea of what goes on, and we'll get it sorted for you.

Did you by any chance upgrade your OS recently, like right before this problem began?

There is a problem of this sort caused by a font issue, specifically with the "Terminal" font, discussed in this thread, and it recommends going over here and downloading the Terminal font to solve the problem. Seems to only effect XP.
