I have seen all the posts concerning Star Wars Backdrops and have toured them all. However they are all missing something as simple as the cockpit of a starfighter. I am not particular, just any cockpit that I can bluescreen my nifty pilot costume into. I know that one exists somewhere for it was used in the fanfilm PINK 5.

Here's a prediction:

Brettsta: Why not just go out and take a picture of the inside of your X-wing? This is not the kind of thing that would be hard to get.

Pooky: Yeah, just go take a picture.

padawanNick: For Pink 5, the creator just captured several frames of the original Star Wars movie and used Photoshop to copy-paste enough pieces together to make the entire cockpit background.

Maybe you could do something similar.

Have fun.

There is a 3dsmax model of the cockpit at scifi3d.com but someone will have to make an image of it.

Depends on how you want to stage the scene.
For some shots I used a simple stool with no back for the actress to sit in so the CGI seat would be the only thing behind her.
In other shots (like this one) I had no CGI seat and simply pulled a removable bucket seat out of the back of a van for the actress to sit on in front of the bluescreen. smile

Have fun.

I dont have access to 3D Studio Max. Bummer. All I need is a single good quality bmp or jpg that I can bluescreen into for a few seconds.

This will a straight on shot, where we see the pilot staring right into the camera and we see the back of the cockpit behind him. Same size and perspective as the: "Red 3 standing by," "Red 6 Standing By," "Red 2 Standing by," Etc.

Just curious if you had any luck getting that background image. I've been searching for one myself.

Would it be possible for someone to get me a high resolution render of the x-wing interior? I would like a sideways view from the left, and a rear view such as that used in episode IV when they attack the death star and dialouge is used. If you have any questions e-mail me at grantchris@btinternet.com,
Thanks,
Chris
