This is a test movie I made when I was bored! It's a Clone War! The main clone just wants to destroy the area!

That was decent for a little one day test. But that cloning scene when there was two of the actor was horrible. Just film you on the left of the camera with the camera on the tripod, and the second one on the right, put them ontop of eachother, and erase the part where the actor isn't. What editing program are you using? I can help you out with the cloning if you told me.

PS- how do you do that glow in the titles at the beginning?

I want help! Please help me with cloning!

I used Adobe After Effects 6.0 to do the shine text effect! You have to download the plug-in shine! Hope that helps! smile

http://fxhome.com/support/tutorials/view.php?i=15 you can use that, but translate it to AE. Should be pretty simple.

I mean instead of doing that stuff in the tutorial in chromy, use the masks and pen tools in AE and just follow the same steps...

Basically, just lock down your camera and make sure it doesnt move at all. Stand on the left, record you getting shot or whatever. Don't move the camera at all. Record you getting shot on the right side. Then again, without moving the camera, take a clean shot with no guys in it.

In AE, import the background, the right, and the left videos. Put the background image in the first layer, and the other two in the next two layers (it doesn't matter what order) Then use the pen tool to draw draw around the half with the guy in it loosely, on both the right and the left videos, then it should appear that they are both in the same shot at the same time. Simple. smile

The way he did the titles in the movie and in his signature was (im guessing) with Vegas. I use vegas and it has media generator called Light Rays and thats what it does. You can change the title and its animation/movement. Its quite easy. I dont know how its done with other programs but im quite the guru with Vegas so I can do pretty much anything with it.

About the cloning..the first shot with the two clones was (i agree) horrid. One shot was lop sided and it didnt look good at all. lol no offence. The second was actually pretty good. Other than that, work with your colors a little to make it look better even tho it is still just a little one day thing but it still is cool and fun to see the final cut of it with all the right colors, etc.

good job

It was a nice attempt. There could've been more shots with two or more clones on the screen at the same time, though. Also, the first split-screen shot could've been done better.

The preview was kinda not so amazing. i will hand it to you though, you had the basics of editing down. and your the youngest kid ive seen that can do bluescreen. keep it up.

Cool movie. I thought it was really well done. Sometimes I couldn't tell who was who, but that didn't matter much to me.

Good Job!!

hey overall good work, i noticed a bit of sloppy split screen in one scene, but i sure noticed a good job of your cloning technique at the end. That was the best one in your movie. keep up the work your improving and progressing very well.

Bryce... you were only saying what others were thinking as well..

anyway... Clone wars...

at first sight.. Oh goody, kids with guns...

On second viewing... Your effects were good, both the chromakeying and the visual FX, the sync on the sound was almost spot on too, well done for that..

on the other hand, with both clone wars and clone 2, they are much of the same thing, shot and edited one afternoon, where was the progression, what did you feel that you didnt do well enough in CLone 1 that you re-did in clone 2, what did you learn from both these exercises... ? And what do YOU feel you have improved on.

Oh, and I have downloaded the shine plugin, but it renders a demo mode cross over all my video.... Do I actually have to pay for it as well (Sarcasm) smile

tra, you have potential. Keep making the films. Just like everyone else here, there is a process of improvement. I do have a problem. Consider your rating:

Agent 307 ***** (FIVE STAR)
Clone Wars**** (FOUR STARS)
Clone Wars 2**** (FOUR STARS)
Seth ** (TWO STAR)

I question your rating. Seth film is quality work and it makes my work look like crap. Don’t rate your own film. Don’t rate them, make them. Like I said, you have potential and a good attitude. Don’t let anyone discourage you. By the way, good effects!
