Could anyone be a real pal and make me one of those cool little "openings" for PhLogan Productions?? You know, like the little thing before the movie like 20th Century, WB, ect.. have. I dont know how to make one that looks cool. I have no preferences on how its done, so let your creative ingenious take over! Thanks in advance if anyone could do this for me.

its open for complete interpretation. I want it to do some kind of cool movement or something (like you see a spotlight go across it and light up the letters, or the letters shake out of focus at the end.) so not just a logo, but one that is animated.
Oh and I know this topic has come up before for Erosion Studios

And i really have NO way in my mind that I would like it done at all...just would like one for my non-professional "productionc ompany" We make serious movies but I couldnt say we are a serious production company confused

just dont make it look like one of the professional movie companys like WB, new line or my own (joking smile ) Because then it will look kinda weird. Trust me, I have tried.

Just a advice. Anyway, good luck!

Nice work on that logo cutty! Do you think you could whip one up for me too! hahah I don't wanna make any trouble for you, but if you could do a real quick one that would kick ass! The production company name is Stone Hand Productions! You will be my new best friend and of course get credit for the logo in all the films! wink

Since when is it so hard for people to get creative?

If you have so much trouble thinking up your own logo, say goodbye to turning out any good movies, if you're not going to try to be creative...

It's really not that hard to make a logo. And only you know what you want and it would be really hard to explain it using the constraints of the internet, so why not try to make your own? That way you get exactly what you want, and the satisfaction of doing it yourself.

What is this 'Logo Shop'? confused

I agree with Marek, if you want a logo, make it yourself. If you dont know how, learn. Your better off doing it yourself, you feel better about yourself in the end, plus you will have learned something new. It's not that hard to make a logo, just mess around a bit.

This is something that I've noticed as well, how can someone who enjoys making films lack creativity? It is after all just a piece of text which most people won't give a second thought.
(The following is directed at nobody in particular)
You can always have a go yourself, it doesn't have to be anything fancy, even a montage of clips or photos of something relevent to your "company" and some text would do.
Going back to the point I made above, people won't even care if it's there or not and if they go away thinking "Hey that logo at the start was really great" then the movie can't have been that great can it? Spend more time on movies, less on logos.

(Once again, I'm sorry if this was off topic or made no sense but I'm very tired right now smile)

Search Google for Barbosa Gif Animator

It's a trial version but it does all the stuff you need. And plus, if the try button doesn't work, it starts working if you wait like 30 seconds smile

So now I am not creative? Cool guys! confused

Just because I dont have the knowlege or tools to make a good looking animated logo does NOT mean I am not creative. I dont have any good imageing tools. And Cutty I like that, it would look real cool animated.

Thanks to those who wanted to help and "sorry" to the ones who now made me not creative.

And usually I can. But now what do you expect me to do? Make a logo in MSPaint? I no no-one with the tools that I can use to create my own. All I did was ask for an animated logo.

When I requested this, being my 5th or 6th post, and then I have people come in here saying since I cant make a logo then I am not creative then I suck at making films...it really makes me feel like shit. You guys know nothing about me or any of my film-making talents. I would share some with you soon but since I am not creative no one will watch them.

hey hey guys calm down no need to get heated smile pHLogan no one is trying to insult or belittle you, I haven't been here too long but for the most part they seem to be a great group of people.

As for the rest of you, I don't mind making logo's for people. It gives me (at least) the ability to test my skills even more and share my techniques with the rest of the community so it's all good.

Besides I just got PhotoShop CS (upgraded from 7) and it's looking a little intimidating, well not really, like lots of new quirky features that I should ytry to get used to and see what they do (why upograde if you refuse to use the new functionality). So it's giving me a chance to mess around a tad. Also it's getting me reaquainted with flash so i am enjoying it smile

Anywho back to the creativity bit just relax I don't think it's the lack of creativity here but rather the inability to make a nice looking intro. I mean it kind of goes back to the "If it's not going to be done right, might as well not be done at all" so give these guys a break. And on top of that they are new! Look at their post count, that's no way to treat a n00b wink

Im not trying to put you down, im just saying that im sure you could try to make one yourself. There are plenty of free programs that would work for what u are trying to do. O ya, and don't try and throw a pity party. We are just trying to get you to do your own work, thats all.

Well in my defense for lack of creativity... I am quite creative and right now i'm filming 2 movies (which both will be in film festivals) and editing another. So really I don't have much time to make a log while juggling school too. I can't say that i'm very talented in animation though so I thought maybe I'd give Cutty a shot if he could! Thats all!

Just wanted to get that out before you guys continued bashing me!

No hard feelings. I just felt like my movie making abilities were prejudged without you guys knowing what talents I have.

Mind if you could give me a list of some free imageing tools (or ones that cost under $100), that would be great.

Oh..and I wasnt trying to throw a "pity party." I just, as I said above, felt as though I was being prejudged. And I do do my own work...

There is the infamous GiMP smile It resembles photoshop and is quite popular. AND IT's FREE! smile Lots of people like it because the predesigned scripts can make you something cool looking (although generic) in like 10secs smile

I don't think that's what people have a problem with.
I think it's more down to the fact that you (and other people) have said that you have no preference on how it's done or how it looks. If you were to specify some details on the Layout, fonts and shapes you want used that way you are having something of a creative input and people won't think that you are uncreative. So you could use MSpaint or GIMP to design a rough layout, or you could use that long forgotten invention, a pen and paper wink. If Cutty is happy to design this then that's fine and I'll say no more.

But I really had not details in mind about it. If it looked bad I wouldnt of used it. I like cutty's design so I used it. I know what you are saying though. Anyways, I downloaded GIMP but I cant figure out how to install it and open it properly.

Gimp is largely a graphics package for linux so you probably didn't downloading the windows binary. You may have trouble running linux packages on XP [wheres an emoticon for 'muppet' when you need one]
