Hey guys!

I was wondering if anyone had an effect. The best way that I could describe it would be as a paranormal fire. It could burn like fire around a character's hand with a blueish/ purpleish flame. But it acts more like water and smoke in the wind, quiet and fluid. eek

Can anyone one help me (apart from the people in white coats?!?)

Any suggestion would be helpful aswell!!

Thank you!!

Johan

Kinda beyond the realm of ALAMDV and Chromanator...

It would take quite a plug-in for that one. Involving some stock footage of a basic flame, and then some footage blowwing left and some blowing right.. as we dont know what scene you are filming..

This is where a particle system comes in handy.. either in 3ds Max, Particle Illusion, or perhaps even Trapcodes Particular for after effects.. and then use Chromanator to overlay that onto your footage.. (Although why you would do that if you had After Effects or Particle Illusion is beyond me ?)

However, hang on to your horses as I read somewhere that ALAM DV3 has a particle generator in it, which could be impressive, keep an eye out for it..

Dear God that sounds too complex, Thank you tho.

i think i'm gonna hold out for ADV3, maybe I'll learn how to make plugins in the mean time.

Thanks for your advice tho!

Thanks guys! biggrin

i have down loaded a demo of the program to see what it is like. Apparantly AlamDV3 will have a particle function which would make the effect a lot easier to acheive. I think I'm gonna wait for that!

Thanks for the recommendations!
