Not a bad little trailer, some better costumes (too many trainers, I thought but Takashi Sorimachi wears trainers in one of the ultimate assassin movies, so that's cool), props and lights would have set it off fantastically. Lots of moody lighting with faces half in shadow, people in slick suits and leather jackets maybe some leaning against lampposts, smoking in the rain and more diving about with two berettas is how I'd have done it, but hey, variety is the spice of life, and it's probably better that we don't make exactly the same film.
Also some better camera angles and more of an explanation of the story and a bit more action, all I got from that film was that it might be a "duellling assassins" film, which is also basically the premise of the film I'm working on now. Liked the guitar case, nice Mariachi rip-off quite good fun.
Overall it would be three stars, but that last bit with the guy stood on the beach against all the rickety wooden stuff, with that little boat thing tied up and the waves rolling over his (frankly innapropriate) shoes, and the flowers as the music builds and the big flaming hitman caption. Was worth one star all on it's tod. Following up with that rather disgusting yet amusing finale.
4 stars, like to see the whole film.
