Can anyone make some kind of plugin which will allow me to overlay Noah's Arc into some water, preferably with the water splashing in front of the boat as it moves, but i can probably deal with that. I needs to be pretty realistic looking if possible...

Any help would be grand! Tar

Did you want that ark exactly proportionate to the Bible's measurements? biggrin

The water splashing would best be done as a seperate element. Especially if it needs to be pretty realistic, there will need to be interaction between your boat and the plane of the water's surface.

Out of curiosity, have you tried a miniature?

Do you have a picture of noahs ark that you would like this based on...

And as for "Other Boats"..

Small powerbats, motor cruisers, racing yachts, Leisure Yachts, Lasers, Ribs, Lifeboats, Cruise Liners, Ferries, Catamarans, Trimarans, F1 Powerboats, Mississippi paddle steamers, frigates, cruisers, battleships, tankers, aircraft carriers...

Could you be any less specific ..

Hiya thanks for the replies...

As for miniatures, i can't really do that because it's going past in the background as we see our main characters on a raft.

Bit more info about what i want, i would also love to be able to have something like a giraffe walking along the deck (just a sillhoette outline of one)

As for what the boat looks like, this is about the best picture i could find:

its basically a house on top of a boat shell!

Hope that helps, and thanks a lot you guys!

Sorry, can't help you out on this one, but...
May I ask what the story of your film is?
At this point it sounds kind of bizarre, your characters are on a raft with a random Noah's Arc just drifting around in the background?

you can do that with a greenscreen. if you have a miniature and any kind of compositing program (i.e. Chromanator), you can do this.

Well, the story is basically about the beginning of time, can't really reveal that much right now for copyright reasons as we have an investor involved, otherwise i would be happy to tell you all about it, hopefully i will be able to post the film on the internet, currently estimating it being around 20 minutes in length, and it will be going around the festival circuit.

Anyway, the noahs arc is just kind of a little joke i thought would be good.
