This is a short movie that I made after upgrading from my stupid Dazzle capturing device to firewire.

I hope you enjoy this film and if you could also comment about the grading and what i could do to improve that, that would be great.

Enjoy!

It wasn't bad. I didn't like the gunshots though, and some of your sounds were not right, I especially didn't like the muzzle smoke. This movie didn't really appeal to me.

Oh yeah I thought the grading was good, and some of your camera angles were pretty nice too.

What did you use for the grading?

EDIT: Breathvapor in the plugins section make good muzzle smoke. Heres the link to it http://fxhome.com/alamdv2/plugins/info_cache/plugin822.html

'Breath Vapor' is a good one, and perhaps try layering 'Smokers' but with a high transparency.

Hope this helps smile

Funny cause i used that plugin for the smoke.

What did you use for the grading?
I used some filters and stuff in virtual dub. I de-saturated it and increased contrast. I also added motion blur which makes it look stuttered, a bit more like the "film look".

Well, then it should look cool. I've not been able to watch your video yet (I'm on a stupid 56k) - but I can't see why breathvapours for the gunsmoke would look bad...

Cheers,

When you use breath vapor, try using multiple breath vapors and not just elongating it like you did in the first shooting sequence. It just shot up way to quickly out of the barrel.

nice job...i thought the editing was the best part. if anything, the sounds when they were behind the door sounded a little repetitive. 4 stars!

See, this is why you need to boil your water before you drink it!

You're tellin' me that this individual who looks every bit of 14 has permission from his parents to shoot any paranormal apparition on site? Well you should have shot the cat too because he looked like a ghost in the kitchen scene.

There were no less than 13 gun shots and not a single hole in the wall, not one window or vase broke so he heads down to the basement and plugs the washer & dryer and you can forget about any hot water.

Yeah... thats great. Do you know how many movies in this cinema are like this?

Im sorry I could not hire tom cruse as my lead actor!

Im working with what I have, with what i want to test out!

Maybe you could not see the bullet holes because of the camera angle???

There are no washers and dryers in my basement. Just a buncha crap and a greenscreen.

I love how it says "Original" at the end. When this is the same movie I've seen here probably 4 or 5 times now.

It actually IS the same movie I've seen on here a lot of times. Just because you made it doesn't make the plot any different from any of the other movies here with the guy alone in the house, hears something/sees something, grabs gun, searches for thing, then it either jumps at him, or we don't see what happens.

Same damn thing.

And you think I was pointing that out to be funny? I can't really tell, because saying "anything that is slightly close to be halfway to almost funny" makes no sense at all. But I didn't point it out to be funny, I pointed it out because it's true.
