This kinda sucks, as Alam DV is such an easy programm, still I have a problem with it.
I made the first scene in Premiere, and wanted to put a couple of muzzle flashes and FX in Alam DV, BUT, I cant. I cannot open my project in ALAM.
Its in Microsoft DV codec, and Alam wont allow it.
PLUS, I made the whole film in 16:9 widescreen. When I exported my movie (Quicktime: Settings: 720*576 DV/PAL 16:9 1.422) it wasnt widescreen in Alam, it was normal 4:3, which sucks. Because I would put muzzle flashes in 4:3 aspect ratio onto a 16:9 movie, and so the muzzle flashes would look weird if I converted the finished project back to 16:9.
I hope you all understand what I am trying to say, and that you can help me.

If you export uncompressed you should be able to load it into AlamDV2 fine.
To counter the anamorphic problem, try making the muzzle flashes half as wide as normal. Then they'll stretch out to the proper width with the rest of the shot.
AlamDV3 won't have any of these problems, by the way.

Well I hope Alam DV 3 will come out soon. If it will be out sometime in JULY, cause I only have time in July to edit this movie. Is there a guess when ADV 3 will be out ???

Don't hold your breath, I'd advise using ADV2 to quickly do the work you need to submit as there is no set release date for ADV3, relying on something uncertain is never a good idea
Good luck all the same.
