The new episodes wont begin till next year, but the point is... ITS COMING BACK!

Fox saw all the record DVD prices and decided to put it back on the air.

Yeah, not exactly breaking news, but still just as cool!

Family Guy rules.

But let's not talk about the squid.

I've never seen it, well, once. But I didn't realy like it. I prefer Simpsons and King of the Hill. (cause' I'm from Texas, and evrything on the show is from my hometown) Is it really that good? Will they still play it on Fox? Thanks. smile

I borrowed a friend's copy of the new dvd release of simpson's season 4...and it doesn't compare close to family guy. Many of the episodes ran together and were quite frankly, boring.

Don't talk bad on the Simpsons. The earlier ones tried to set morals, and appealed to a different audience. The newer ones are funny, random, and very entertaining.

Took a cue from Family Guy, actually. And the very news are, for the most part, awful. Around seasons 7 or 8 it was bliss though.

I have been a hardcore simpson hater sine 1999. Before that, it may have been the best show on televison ever, but after that, specificaly starting with the mel gibson episode, it just got awful, and in my opinon, is now one of the worst television shows I have seen. Its a shame it's been on for 14+ years, while gold like Family Guy and Futurama get cancelled after 3 or 4 seasons

I can maybe agree with you on Simpsons, but Futurama was slow and not that funny. It should have been cancelled. I don't know about Family Guy.

Futurama was actually quite good and had its moments and there wasn't a dry run in sight...simpsons has been on a dry run for a few seasons now. And Family Guy was just gold throughout.

I've only seen a handful of Futurama episodes, but they've all been superb, and far more imaginative and funny that The Simpsons. But, then, I'm a big fan of intelligent and imaginative scifi, so I was probably angled naturally towards Futurama anyway.

Futurama to my mind is one of the finest scifi shows of the last coupla decades. I mean, take out the comedy and you'd have a superb scifi show with some really innovative ideas and interesting characters.

In fact, all the best comedies are ones where they would still work if you remove the humour. Maybe not as well, but they'd still function.

I'd say The Simpsons has gotten to the point where there are more bad episodes than good ones.

And tarn, that is true for many comedies (the "taking out humor" aspect, but if you did that, Family Guy and The Simpsons would be pretty much the same show. It's the style of humor that seperates them (making one great and one horrilbe). But it's true, if you can take the humor out of a comedy and know that it would still be good, you have there a magnificent piece of art

What?!? I don't understand why you guys keep dissing the Simpsons like it's some Quentin Tarintino film. I didn't say anything about the Family Guy, and here you guys go calling the Simpsons a 'horrible' sitcom! Okay, it sucks. That's why it's the longest running, highest rated, sitcom AND animated series.

we arent attacking you, just the simpsons. To me, the simpsons used to be clever and have heart. Now, there is no heart behind the show, and you just get the feeling that they are sticking it out as long as they can to get more money. Also, the jokes arent clever. It seems to be Homer getting hurt and yelling. That is all the simpsons has been for years. Also, many of the newer episodes are just un-funny versions of older ones.

Also, I would never put the simpsons in the same boat and Quentin Tarentino. I don't really see what that comaprison means

You calling the Simpsons horrible. Quentin Tarentino films being horrible. I think he's an incredibly demented and sick director with a stupid, twisted style. I felt you were displaying the simpsons the same way as I think of Q.T.'s movies: extremely bad and off.

OK, you say this as if you had insulted a show I like, insulting a show you like would be justified. I mean, I could just say "I didn't say anything about [insert director you like] and here you go calling Quentin Tarentino a "sick" director!"

And thanks for clearing the QT thing up. I just didn't understand.

I dont even want to get into this, but I had to leave Kill Bill because it was so horribly stupid and gorey, and poorly edited. (in my opinion. do not want a response.) *waaaaaayyyyy oooofffffff topic*

The Family guy is pretty good, but the simpsons will rule forever! (insert wickedly evil laugh here)

yeah, sorry, that really should have been a PM. anyway, one of my favorite family guy moments was when Peter mentioned ( I think) how he loved New England based TV shows because the main character always says something really witty right before the commercial break. The shot then goes to peter's face and he slowly opens his mouth, and after a second or two closes it, and then it cuts to a commercial. That is just genius

Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Family Guy are two of my favorite shows, along with The Simpsons. Im glad they are bringing it back.

Also, Clone High was genious. It only aired for about 2 months before people protested to have it taken off the air. It still plays in Canada though, too bad im not Canadian.

Yeah I've heard "The Simpsons" is getting terrible but I've not seen it in ages. I know a load of people who are obsessed by "family guy", they might not know about this. It is a really good show. One of the few shows to make me laugh out loud, that takes alot.

They protested it because they said it portrayed the people in bad ways - such as Ghandi (to lazy to check the spelling on that), Abe Lincoln, Joan of Ark ect.

One of my favourite bits, is when the news caster is sat in his dressing room saying stuff like (I'm paraphrasing here) "The President of the United States has been shot" pause "Terror sweeps the nation as the president is assassinated" pause " what's the president doing in this casket?? Find out right after this!!!" That kept me laughing for hours.

As did the new police van that disguises itself as two hobos fighting over some cheese, that attacks "minority suspects" and plants guns on them.

I know this guy who's spent the past six months almost solidly quoting family guy, problem is when you finally see the episode he's on about, you've heard it so many times it aint funny.

Fishing was terrible...all we caught was this boot, rubber tire and book of cliches

family guy can be quite intelligent at times.
