Hi,

I recently purchased AlamDV2... excellent program but it runs VERY slow.
My comp is pretty new/good and has no problems with other programmes, just AlamDV2. I have tried reinstalling it twice but no luck.

I just wondered if anyone else has this problem...
I can use it but it takes ages going between scenes etc even on a file only 9 seconds in length.

Any ideas?

Thanks

From what I have seen in video tutorials and from using ADV myself that it naturally runs at a slow pace.

The program was designed to only cope with small snippets of video at a time, I think the average length is 30 secs.
Now of cores you could import a longer length of video but you may find it’s too much for the program.

how long is your clip? keep in mind, its not supposed to hold more than a minute tops. the clips should be small. you can export them from your NLE and then use them in alam. smaller = faster

Next time read the post, evman. smile

I really don' know what the problem is. If you are running other programs in the background, I would suggest closing them, as they may be making it run slower. Other than that, all I can say is to wait for Alamdv3, which should run much faster.
