Hey guys,

Im making a Batman fanfilm where batman is murdered and his son takes his place, the villians involve Scarecrow and the Joker...Its called the Hier of Gotham.

Anyways, i bought AlamDV2 and Chromanator. I have built a side of a building set with greenscreen all around it and underneath it, how do i put a backdrop (of a picture i already have) behind my actor on Chromanator, just a simple tuturiol.

Thanks,

Anything helps
Andrew

you can add existing pictures or whatever you found online behind in place of a green screen. just key out the green.

I'm not totally sure what you're asking but...

Chromanator basically has layers, if you colour key out the green on the image you want in the forground and import then place the image you have behind this, it'll render as your character moving around infront of the picture.

Maybe someone will be able to help you more precisely.

1. Shoot actor on set with Greenscreen in frame.
2. Plug camera into the computer and import the file
3. open file on chromantor and key out the green.
4. Inserst a backdrop into the frame and place it where it needs to go.
5. Done

Did you key the green out so it goes transparent?
And then place the backround on the layer underneath the keyed footage?

You know when you see your clip in the normal mode where you can move it around and change the speed etc.?

There should be numbers in the lower left side of the screen, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. These are the different layers where you can put your fottage. Now, drag the fottage with the keyed out greenscreen to layer 2. Drag the picture with the backdrop to layer 1. It should work now, if not, render it to see what it looks like.

I hope I helped, and good luck with your future movie-making! biggrin

Sorry to hijack, but...

How are you going to explain how and where Batman got a son? It's always been an importance to show that Bruce Wayne is a single man.

well the movie starts out showing Ayden(bruces son) at the grave. Flashbacks of Bruces death as a Voice over starts. Ayden mensions what happens to bruce and he also says he was born with supernatural powers, cat-like reflexes he enharieted from his mother. I think the audeince (that are True Batman fans) will understand that batman and catwomanf**ked and after the baby was born the cat left town.

Thats pretty much it. Trailer should be out by the end of the month.
