Has anybody else seen this movie? I saw it yesterday and i dont think ive laughed harder in my LIFE! Im goin back to see it again today with some friends. Part of the reason i thought it was funny was because of the main character, (i swear to god its the same dude that i had as my roommate fresh year of college.. it was horrible ha) Well, i was just wondering what other people thought of this movie. Its def goin on my number 1 or 2 spots in terms of comedies.

Yeah, I have to agree, that movie was awesome. It was really really funny. I think the funniest part is that if I grew my hair, dyed it that shade of blonde, permed it, got those glasses, and wore a shirt that said "Vote for Pedro" I'd look pretty close to him. But there was one problem- in one shot of the movie in which you can see two stagehands in a reflection. In the scene where Deb is calling Napoleon to tell him what a horrible person he is, you have to look carefully at the metal part of the phone and you can see about two guys. Check it out.
It's been in theaters for a while now- 9 weeks! The funny thing is that I wanted to see it when it first came out, 9 weeks ago, but I saw it last week with my family (even my 9 year old sister) and we all loved it. There were some parts where the movie could have taken a complete twist- but I'm glad it didn't.
I found it funny how it sounded like they were going to curse, but instead, Napoleon said like "What the flip?" That was good.

I hate to say it, but I think I, and my friends, are the only people who hated that movie. At first I thought it was because it was a comedy with no plot or jokes, only wacky characters, but there are plenty of movies like that that I enjoy, but I just didn't find it funny at all.

It's definitely one of my favorite films ever now. It's not only hilarious, but it's extrordinarily well made too. At the moment, I can't think of a better way to spend the money for a movie ticket.

If you haven't seen it, and you like comedies, go see it as soon as you can. At least, if it's playing around you.

I will. Hold on. Thank you for seeing it. Sorry you didn't like it. Het, I HATED Kill Bill, but the about 300 people I know that saw thought it was completely awesome, so people's opinions vary. Mainly, I think the reason the people I know like Napolean Dynamite is because they think he's like me. (Which he is SOOOOO not!) wink Sorry you wasted your money Waser.

I just do. I thought Kill Bill had atrocious editing (that really, really ticked me off. another exmaple of this is is the Bourne Supremacy. Some times certain editing is good for one part of a movie, but not the whole thing.) and the overall wierdness of the film. I ended up leaving the theatre and seeing School of Rock instead. Kill Bill is without a doubt the worst film I have ever seen in my entire life. All of the movies on here are better than it*. But as I said, that is my opinion, and I didn't want to get into as I knew everyone would oppose me. I mean, I could have said, "How can you love Kill Bill?" But I didn't, because I realize that there are sometimes where an arguement can bre avoided.

*with the exception of the movie on FXHome called Variable Done. What a piece of $@!@@#$&^%&*%@!^%!!!!! Heh. Just kidding. I think I wrote a review on that one and it got three -1s then got deleted by an admin because of its harshness. Since then I've learned to avoid confrontation whenever possible. Funny because few of us have seen or 'confronted', so-to-speak , another person on this site. Well, I see atom on a daily basis but technically that deosn't count. smile

I bought a ticket to see the manchurian canidate, and watch the village instead.

(AAAAAAAGHHHHH SO STUPID WHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHY NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!)

so, point being, stranger things have happened, like people enjoying M night shamaylans twist filled borefest. As it turns out, napoleon dynomite was extremely nitch humor, and it seems to be 50/50 split cool/uncool.

And now for a dramtic reinactment of me at the village.

(theater darkens)

Oh, lots cinematography....ooh aww wow...somewhat tension filled scene! finally..wait...more boring pointless and furthermore annoying olden-talk.
awesome! they said "those that we dont speak of" for the 2400th time.
tension! boredom! wait....more boredom! nooooooo... 7.50 down the drain! or as infomercial salesmen would say "cash in the trash"!

aaaaaand im spent.

Kill Bill WAS the worst movie ever made. All of a sudden they cut to an Anime seen because the movie was so low budget. And the shots of the planes flying, seriosly, i have toy plane that looks the same. The Village was also terrible. It just so happens, there is a blind girl and a retard in the same village. Another thing, out of 25 people to choose from, they choose the blind girl to go throught the woods, which is convienent because she could not see the cars and buildings in the 21st century town.

umm... you just didn't get either story and I don't really care about what you think cause I believe that both of those movies. they choose the blind girl so that she wouldn't see all that stuff. duh.

And in regards to kill bill. its not low budget. it had a big budget. Tarantino chose to make it like an old japanese film. adds to the style. rather than making some bland hollywood production.

Kill bill was a really entertaining movie, and even more so was its sequel, even if it look low budget and stole all of its ideas from other movies. That actually why i liked it, because it was over the top and nearly a parody.

This forum is making me sad...

There are actually people who hate Napoleon Dynamite. And they haven't even seen it! You know what? Judge yet ye be judged. I forget who said that. (Maybe Mike D from the Beastie Boys) But seriously, c'mon. What looks so boring about it? The odd characters are what make up the film and if you gave them a chance, you'd see just how their quirkyness absolutely worked in the film.

Kill Bill? You hate Kill Bill? I'll say this: My dad didn't like it either, but that was only becuase the film was "smutty" to him. And yeah, it kinda is. But if you hate it becuase it didn't seem professional enough for you, then maybe you just don't get the parody (or tribute, in Tarantino's eyes). Open your eyes to film making that actually does has a point other than big $bucks$.

I don't want to say much about The Village becuase I know the "love it" to "hate it" ratio is not clearly defined, and I actually liked it. I enjoied how M. Night created a clever story above all else. For a writer, like me, that was pure brilliance with what he did with his plot and twist. He's truely amazing with his twists in most of the movies he's done.

I don't want to post anymore on this forum unless a statement or question is directed at me becuase this forum is making me sad...

P.S. I know Mike D. didn't write that line, dude. I'm not a dumbass.[/u]

And I BEGGED my dad to take me to see Kill Bill Vol. 1 (they had pretty strict R rating enforcement) and once we went into the theatre I was all like, "WTF is this crap?!?!?!?" The trailer was completely misleading. Looked good, wasn't. But that's simply my opinion, so don't slam me for exercising my good ol' American freedom of speech! People have varying opinions here and there, and they shouldn't be persecuted for voicing their opinions.
