I can't belive I finaly got this on net, (thanks to Pooky and DigiSm89 for theyre help)

This movie started as a X-men effect test, but I made it into a preview. I know the music is slack, but hey... it's my first movie.

Some day i might make a longer movie. (A real one)

Don't film in the dark, it causes grain, make it dark in post production, I'll dit my post when I am done watching to comment on the rest.

EDIT- That line at the end was corny and the wolverine blades were not too good, track it better, and don't do it in Alam unless you want hard core rotoscoping. Do it in a 3d app where you can try to track, or actually get a prop. The snow was nice, the lighting wasn't. The floating scene was too long and it wasn't too good. That's all I have to say.

Even though I agree with most of the things Serpent siad, I thought that overall the trailer was entertaining, and made me want to watch the movie (even though I assume there isn't one right?).

Didn't like it at all. I thought that the angles were okay, but the overall quality, editing, and usage of effects was a disgrace to the X-Men! If you're going to have the sound from the camera play, PLEASE add sound effects for the cyclops blast and claws and bamf. Also, could you not film in all the same areas? It might help if you changed the scenary a little and took things outside or to a different location. Note: That is quite possibly the most overused music I've ever heard. Please don't use it. You seem to have some talent, so please continue.

Post Script: If Storm was inside, it wouldn't start to rain, but, even if it did, you could've added more sound effects for the lighting and thunder and rain. Not just that pre-set wind noise.

Good Luck in the Future! smile

1) Klut is from Norway, I think his spelling can be excused.
2) 2/3 of your submissions had no sound effects (and no dialog) that means you're completely lazy.
3)Read his quote again, he clearly says that not finding sound effects pissed him off (NOT YOU)
4) If you know where he can find these effects, providing you're not too lazy, then why don't you share them?

Please don't comment about other people's spelling, Atom, if you are going to have misspelled words and bad grammar in YOUR posts as well. wink LOL

I'm sorry, but are you trying to use tha fact that you were too lazy to get some sound effects as an excuse for why you have none? Well, I'm sorry I pissed you off. I hope you go really far in your spelling career, and use some good effekts!

Almost everything you need is on there. If it isn't, I'm wondering what kind of movie you're making. j/k.

Serpent, chill man. I thought we were cool?

I am cool, I don't know about you. wink I was just emphasising on the spelling, since this is a worldwide forum, we should not correct grammar and spelling. And again, I was tired again, aren't I always? Soccer is a killer, hardcore training etc. It's like remember the titans, only soccer oriented. And it isn't Recreation soccer. I have a busy life. wink

I just wish people would think before they post and be a little more constructive with their critisism. .

For instance, reread your post (before posting smile) and think to yourself: "Hey, would I want to receive a message like this?".

Sometimes you guys come off rather harsh to the people that submit their movies... For example... Atom... Go back and reread your original post to Klut... You said that his effects were a disgrace to the XMen... that's harsh bro, especially since this is his first movie... give people a break...

I think we should all take lessons from Solthar... he's probably the best FX person here and take a look at his critiques, they are always very constructive... smile there's my $.02

Good post, Jamie. +1 if I can log onto Andrew's account. wink I know I initially hated Aculag (I don't anymore) for criticizing my movie in an overly critical way, and I know I feel bad whenever I read negatory, nonconstructive criticisms. In fact, only a couple people have been positive towards me as far as my film submissions go (one of them being you). And I'm practically never negative. I'm always a Top Poster and my Rate-Downs are from my brother for personal grudges. So...good post!

smile it's all about being considerate... and that means taking into consideration the other person's feelings. It's a lesson that many people forget while online. smile

I guess it helps to have kids too smile because when my kids bring me a picture of a duck, or a dog, or an airplane... and it looks more like a rock, or a tree, or a helicopter, you tell them it looks good anyway, because if you don't they won't draw anymore and get better, and it IS good for their level... So everything is, and should be, in relation to their own level. You can't critique someone as if they were at pro level if they're not pro...

So if George Lucas submits his movie to the Cinema, and it sucks, OK blast him, he deserves it... But when amateurs (and most of us are) submit a movie and it's not that great (compared to George Lucas!) then don't treat them as if they WERE at George's level... Makes sense to me at least wink LOL

Hey! There's another $.02 I'm losing money on this deal! LOL

HEY STOP IT! tard
I just wanted to show my movie, not to make people fight for/against my movie. A bad review make me something to think of, and then my movies wil be better, a good review and my selfconfidence is raising. And my english is groing better for each post. (I bougth a dictionary)
But it's a shame to watch you guys fighing and protecting like that. unsure
If you gave my movie a 1/5 it dosen't mather so much to me. And I don't care that you make fun of my english. I wanted to know what you think. Al review is good review, and it whould only make me better. Thats my final word....... at this topic-...... unless you ask something....heh tard

By the way, I'm practising more on x-men effekts, but I can't find any x-men sounds. I want the bamf sound and the metal sound when wolverine takes out his claws.

For the claws you could just record you scraping two knives together really fast... If you don't have a microphone I could do this for you...

As a fellow Norwegian, I have to comment this "trailer".

First of all, I think you want to know what you can improve yourself on. Do not over-use the plugins. The plugins can make a movie better, but in this case, I think you've used too much effects. Nonetheless, the titles are awful (Studio 8?).

Well, that's my opinion. My advice is to keep clear of any unnecessary plugins, and focus more on the acting part. But, by all respect, you are a young boy, and hopefully a long future ahead of you. Keep it going.

Keep it real. Respect.

Excuse my potential spelling mistakes, since I am, as you read, from Norway.

You didn't have to criticize my brother, you know. You really didn't. Oh yeah, and remember that you can transfer force to other members without rating them up. Just an interjection.
