wow! Thanks for the extra forces biggrin Very kind of you. Well, you all are very friendly people. Now I know this forum or website caters to a lot of special effects or simply effects; something I havn't really started on but in the future will.

As I mentioned I saw the numerous post about homebuilt stabilizers and that got me hooked. As this if pretty much my forté I couldn't resist. cool

I build my own or in the process of completing my 12th rig. Yep, I know. That is a lot but it's all about improvements. Any way I won't bore you all with that stuff.

I'm getting together quite alot of editing software for my big computer upgrade.
You won't believe I'm still using a P3 500 processor frown aaah well. I'm careful person when it comes to upgrade and like to know and get the best info before disshing it out. So, that's my story - Short and concise. razz

Ages vary. About half are adults and half are teenagers (like myself).

You spoke of stabilizers and I was wondering if you've seen Flip's Ultimate FAQ. Its awesome and seriouslyt worth taking a look.

no we aborted the project in the middle of the construction process due to cost. But it doesn't change the fact that your stabilizer is frickin' AWESOME!

Firstly, welcome to FXHome.

Secondly, to gain more force points there are a few things you can do;

-Buying a product will earn you 200 force points.
-Creating Plugins for AlamDV will earn you between 25-50 force points.
-Posting a good post may earn your force points, depending on whether or not people rate your post "up".

If you become a gold user (a product owner). You will be able to rate posts up or down, meaning you can award force points.

I hope that helps wink

Thanks for the warm welcome and your explanation. I'll think I'll have to buy me a product soon. smile
As for creating plug-ins, I'll tell you right off, I'm pothetic as they come frown
Any, I'll try and see if I get some simpathy while I'm here. wink

Thanks again.

One of my biggest offerings to you all that might be of some good to you all is that, I can help you or advise you if you ever think of building your very own stabilizer or as the term is so commonly known by everyone - The steadicam.

Like I mentioned before, I would have to learn them slowly to reach you guys status.

I wouldn't worry so much with the plugins right now, as AlamDV3 will be eliminating the need for them smile

And woohoo to buying a product, Chromanator is brilliant and AlamDV2 gets you a free upgrade to AlamDV3 so you really can't loose. smile

For a new guy, you're really lucky. I was once new and no one cared! Why!? Maybe it was becuase I didn't say "Hi guys, I hope I'm welcomed"? Yeah, that was it. I've been pretty much a jackass...Damn, dude...good move with this topic. wink

Let me list some pointers to help you out....

1. If you want to be liked, don't post or say insulting, wastefull, or stupid things.

2. Watch the movie, Deus Ex Machina.

3. Notice how cool those guys are becuase that movie absolutely ROCKS!

4. If you want respect, make a good movie or short. People will respect your filming techniques.

5. Don't f*ck with Aculag.

6. Don't talk about Fight Club.

Hope that helps

7. Watch out for Pooky, he bites.

8. Watch all of Sollthar's movies except the sock one. 0_0

9. Be hepful with links, tips, and plugons etc.

10. Watch most of the movies, and especially the hjighest rated ones. Some of them are really awesome, like DXM, etc.

Yeah, Mr. Pencil, you missed those, and number 7 being most important.

If I may suggest, check out Turicon. Has been my favortie here on FXHome for a long time.
