Been working on a light saber duel and cannot figure out how to place in two effects on one screen clip?

I am trying to add the light bulb effect on to the light sabers when they clash together.
Each time I try to add in the second effect it says there are no key frames? how do I make a keyframe?

I also wanted to know how to properly make the light sabers, I have been going back and forth and opening and closing the special effect box each time I want the saber effect in each clip. Am I doing this correct? I swear I had it in a mode where I set the effect first then just click each saber in for each fram and didn't have to reopen the effect box each time. Where am I going wrong here?

Thanks in advance!

There's a manual that comes with the program with a pretty comprehensive guide on what you're trying to do. Give that a quick read an all will be explained, and it'll be be clearer than if I explained it.

Alamdv works by layering effects, And tweening images over your video. You want to tween your sabers and you don't need to continuously open the effect up to do so, you can just tween it between keypoints all within one effect. But to do this you'll need to read the manual so you also know the basics of the program.

Hope that helps smile

I read the manual and printed it out from the program and it still did not tell me how to tween, I will try again.

Thank you ,

I watched and read the manual

I think my mistake might be thaT I started the effects wrong by opening and closing and applying in each frame. If I started this way can I revert to the tweening?

I tried to right click the bar and even stretched out the little dots on the timeline to extend the effect and no chance with that.

I am missing something here and I am just getting more and more frustrated and confused.

like I said in my earlier post, While playing with Alam DV2 in the trial version , I did somehow get it to where I only had to open the special effects and light saber box once and just place the lightsaber dots in each frame without reopening the special effect box each time I went to a new frame. Please help me step by step on how to reach this mode once again. Tarn are you there???

Thanks guys and sorry for sounding so stressed out

How do you add keyframes?
