Woulnt it be cool if in the future we were all directors, actors, camera operators, and other film jobs working for a major filming company called FXHome, and the FXHome team would be like the producers, i dunno why im posting this, but i had a dream like this.

I personally would like to get 2gether with Canta, Sidey and Mecha to make a film (action based ofcourse). If comedy then i would like to work with Aculag and McMurphy. That'd be good times.

Yeah, that'd be cool. Evman and I decided that if we ever make it big or anything (please keep comments to yourself) we'd go looking for FXhomers. Ironically, we were talking about this today, and we said we'd take some of the most talented Fxhomers and work with them.

But my big idea was to always have an FXhome convention. Then I can
finally put a face to everyone. But where would the FXhome convention be? We're a very diverse group.

No, I've always thought the convention would be somewhere in Britain. I've always wanted to fly British Airways. (They're very hi-tech, and they have beds to sleep on, not chairs)

Well, that is DEFINATELY true. You best be countin' yer pennies to get a bed on the plane, Pencil.

Back to the whole "Team FXHome" thing....
I think it would be really cool, although I believe it's been notioned in the past, but dismissed. I think it would be really cool, but a little unrealistic, since people from all over the world are users. If anyone, I'd like to work with Ajjax, CX3, Aculag, martinbrice, Mecha, Sidey, Sollthar, and some other people. However, it'd be more likely that I'd work better with peeps near my age, so I'd MOST Likely want to work with evman, Pencil, Serpent, Ssjaaron, or Rawree or somebody. Just my 65300 cents

thats a lot of cents!

AnyWHO...

I was thinking that another thing that would be cool would be to make a script, storyboards, the whole deal, then get a few members from all over the world to film themselves in front of a green/blue screen... and then comp them in together. I know it'd be hard to get right, with timing and all, but If it actually worked, it'd be kickass!

I could be "talking" with all of you "in person" under the premise of a movie (with a really good plot.) Just an idea, an outlandish one, maybe, but if it worked, it'd really be a first.

(I know Im being naive, but I just had to share this...)

P.S. - Pooky, I suppose you are now known as "Somebody" biggrin

evman - there was a film project I read about a few years back that involved teams from all over the world making individual episodes for a TV series. Can't remember the details, but it was a spy type show, which each episode focusing on different spies in the different countries. The linking thing would be a mysterious woman who you only ever saw her legs, or from behind (hence each team could film her using a different actress).

It was a nice idea. The quality of each installment varied hugely, but there was something really rather excellent about watching an episode somewhere in the US, then jumping to Hong Kong, then being in France...etc.

Someone said people all over the world are users,

That makes it even better, FXHome would be a global industry, The FXHome team, would be the guys who are in charge of everything, and each country would have a group chosen by the main FXHome team.

I think there should be a convention; or a film festival, more like, based in Britain, near the mods homes. Maybe there could be a slight inflation in the proces so that CSB could rent out a theatre and charge a smallentry to see ALL the films in the cinema. I'm sure none of us would feel bad if CSB benefits from some of our films, eh? More money for them means a quicker release of ADV3. Then, they could designate a date and make like a "GOLD LIST"- containing Gold Members and the peeps in their production companies (so I could come)- and people from all over the world could come if they wanted to- I'll be in London in March, that would be cool if it was then and there- and it could last a week. NOW THAT WOULD BE COOL. Atomic Productions is having a film fest this or next month at Chases house and we're renting all kinds of crap to attract some publicity, like projectors (to project our films) and slurpee machines and popcorn machines and stuff like that. And at my school I've already got plenty of people who've seen trailers for both "The Friendship" and "Hitman and Maletti" and they keep asking when the DVDs are due out. So getting CSB some attention and letting everyone get their film shown would be good for everyone- I'm pretty sure that's a valid assumption. smile

I'll probably get crucified for this but... Me Billy and Serpent are currently putting some ideas together so that we might be able to do exactly this. The details are all pretty "hush hush" at the moment but we may have something to show next year. We were also thinking of asking certain FXHomers to do some cameos etc as well.

No, Aculag, see, we didn't want this to be known, well, me and billy didn't, *glares at Rawree, so it would just be BOOM, release, surprise, and hopefully amaze people. And, we were also trying to prevent people like atom, ben, and evman for IM'ing us and asking "can we be in it, a small part, can we see the script? etc etc. I am not saying it's bad to do that, but it was bound to happen when someone, *cough* Rawree *cough* posted it.

An fxhome is a magical bunny that comes out of your camera once you decide you are going to make a movie. It hops out, jumps around, then goes in your computer and makes you stare at it for hours on end, forgetting completely about your movie. Then, you find yourself 6 hours behind schedule, editing a crappy movie, and somehow still loving to look at that cumbersome fxhome.

Aw Rats,

I see the new/next generation of filmmakers as being working-class proles who support themselves by screwing caps on the ends of toothpaste or inspecting membrane which is to be used in pap-smear kits for the diagnosis of cervical cancer; WEEKEND WARRIORS if you'd like.

Ben's analogy of FXMOME being a bunny (constantly humping itself?) is a bit extreme, if not overly realistic. Ben, you need a cottontail, and some buck-teeth to boot... HAHA. EDIT: Only Joking, Ben..! You have a great imagination!

Mind you, I've been called an idealist and a "romantic", whatever the hell that means...

I would imagine that most of us have to make a living through whatever means, and that we persue our passions on our free time. I dunno: Is this correct, or am I the only one?

Remember: It was George Lucas who predicted that (before the SPECIAL EDITIONS or the PREQUELS) we'd all be making films "out of our garages, AGAIN."
