hello guys, i was wondering if somebody can create a 3D animation as described:

it starts with a sequence of the night over the sea. the moon goes down then above the horizon the sun rises and reaches the zenith. the scene moves slowly on the right showing a fisherman sitting on a rock holding a fishing rod and as he pulls it out from the water we can see the moon (which is at the perfect center of the scene) hooked to the line. the whole scene goes dark (fade out) showing only the moon, and the following logo appears: "steven pictures"

the moon has to be as the one in the logo of my signature.

the whole animation shouldnt be longer than 15 seconds...
thanks a lot! biggrin biggrin

eek !!!!!! That's a bit over the top, But good luck finding someone who is willing to spend days and days of time trying to create this animation for some amateur filmmaker.

Good luck with doing a fulltime professional job for you unpaid?

I think not, sorry. The work you are looking for someone to do is quite literally something that no one would consider starting in any unpaid circumstances. I don't mean to be a party pooper, but you're asking for character modelling and animation along with intelligent "moons" animating and lighting. There's no way in hell I'd consider starting this... and I think that's a view shared by most.

You'd probably be better off finding a friend that knows 3d or learning yourself, sorry man.

it starts with a fast sequence of the night over the sea then above the horizon the sun rises and travels to set on the other side of the horizon. while the sun sets, the moon appears in the sky, then goes down. the sun rises again and reaches the zenith. (now the speed of the sequence is normal) the scene moves slowly on the right showing a fisherman sitting on a rock holding a fishing rod and as he pulls it out from the water we can see the moon (which is at the perfect center of the scene) hooked to the line. the whole scene goes dark (fade out) showing only the moon, and the following logo appears: "steven pictures"

What Hybrid said was a little harsh, but all-in-all true. You need a pro or someone who's paid to do this. Also, is this in any way similar to the Dreamworks intro? Cause it has a fisherman and a moon, and, thinking visually, I think about the Dreamworks intro as I read this.

Thats exactly what I was thinking, so you may have copyright infringes there too. As to the effect, the sun and moon movement could be done with AE as could the water if you had the correct plugin ie Psunami. the animated man, I know I couldn't do, I have no ideas, but I'd think it could take a while to get the look you are looking for, as would the other animation.

Make no mistake, in that this is a fairly complicated bit of animation, sure it has some simple elements in it, but to be able to combine them all in such a way that does not look crappy is going to take time. So my advice would be the same as Hybrids, find a mate or start learning yourself, the skills you learn will help you in fururwe projects too.

I'd play around with Bryce and Poser if I were you... Those two programs can get you almost what you want... although it'd be hard to get it looking pro, but their fairly easy to learn...

Good Luck! wink

Hi, This isn't exacaly what you asked for, but as peopel here said, what you wanted was abit to ambitious. I can send as an avi if you would like. But I am limited by my webspace, and avi codecs are quite lossy i find.

I would've, but I don't know how to emulate water. I love helping people out, but sadly, I can't do it every time due to not enough skill, or the other part of my life.

Ok, here's a quick one I made in flash. It's in animated GIF form right now, but I can make it a .mov if you want.

It's about 1MB, as a warning.

Hey, Chipmando, very nice, mad props and good 3d, fast reply, etc. But scideou, I would slow down the transition between night and day, and I would upload a high res version chip.
