I know this has been addressed before, but why dosn't fxhome have little film competitions? Like 2- 10 minutes maybe longer. They could be weekely or bi-weekely for some of the more challenging ones. I know alot oif people like this idea and I dont think it would be hard to implement into the site.

I see this question get asked allot, and Im not sure of the answer, but from my understanding CSB is VERY busy with AlamDV3 and DigiGrade at the moment and think it best to focus their energy on that. If this is wrong, someone please correct me. I would love to see a type of awards show, but I think annually would be the best, like an FXHome oscars or something.

I think maybe Aculag would be the perfect person to make an award show. It would be like the oscars. There would be nominees and stuff, and then he opens an envelope and stuff. That'd be great. But I think the top 10 is a good enough competition, because it isn't long term, so others get a shot and don't have to competer with Solly everytime.

I think if CSB is too busy with making the programs, someone else should be in charge of getting it together, and then we can just call it "FXHome Film Fest" or something.

As I've said before, I like this idea, maybe i don't have a chance to win but it would definatley be a goal. But if CSB doesn't have the time who will then organise this?

We did run a competition a long while back. Unfortunatly we didnt get many submissions (although our timescale was very short). In my experience, running a competition is a lot more complicated than you'd think. Just creating all the rules at the start requires a lot of thought. Then getting people interested and keeping them motivated can be very tricky.
Hopefully we'll do another competition in the future, but like others have mentioned, we are extremely busy at the moment. We would welcome members to start their own competitions. Although I've seen lots of people try, but not many succeed. So be warned, you must be 100% commited if you want your competition to be a success.
