Just a suggestion, if somebody has or could make a plugin where an alien is talking? That way it can be used on a lil tv or monitor in a movie like a transmission.

Plus a second plugin to further the first is of an alien or aliens just doing poses like walking and stuff?

(The image of an alien I have in my head is of those lil grey things with balloon heads and big black eyes)

It wouldn't be best to make a plugin like that for AlamDV.

First, its a 3d plugin, meaning it would require a 3d program to make. Since Alam isn't a 3d program, someone would have to render the images from one angle, and then make a plugin out of it.

Second, it would be a pretty strange plugin, since it would most likely only be made for one person.

And third, the talking thing would be pretty hard to do, and then to sync up.

LoL! Who wouldn't want a lil talking alien head? (hehe!)

Ok fair enough, if I render the images tho, is it much harder to actually make the plugin itself? Cos I'm pretty useful with doing images, just never tried a plugin yet

Plugins are easy. i tried to find the topic that explains in detail how to make them, but i couldn't find it. If you look in the pdf file that came with alamdv it should tell you how to make thme and what each thing means.
Basically the way plugins work is it takes each image and makes it a frame. Then it puts the frames together as an animation. It's not that hard. The plugger takes you through it.

Would that be the sticky post at the top of this very forum?

He said an alien as if on a tv screen, so it would be flat on purpose and not pointless. However, I don't have any alien models, so sorry, I can not make this plugin. It is possible however, if you made it made it very general and not to specific, others could use it as well.

It could be of some use because, as Serpent says, you don't need it to be 3D in Alam if it's just going to be on a TV screen. However, in order to get this looking decent it would be better to get the animation custom done if you needed it for a project. Just out of interest, is this a "I need this for my movie" request or a "I don't need this but am just coming up with ideas" type request?

I made one for you, Sidewinder. It's a chinese waiter holding a plate and tap dancing. Will that work?

Are his shoes red? He needs red shoes.

And it needs to be shown at exactly a 36.2-degrees angle.

Thanks!
