If it would be an official FXhome TV channel (winamp can do this btw) I would put the Top 20 (20 because 10 are too few ^^) on it and of course handpicked movies.

If I would do an internet TV channel, would use low/now budget movies only ... hm.. would be cool ^^

I like the idea but with my dial-up Im not sure I could be of much use...could be a good investment for CSB to consider though (the internet one since it would be easier to realize)

you could offer commercial space and make some extra doe to put into the mainstream CSB products.

Nothing advertises CSB products better than some of the excellent pieces of film and astounding effects in movies you guys have made with their help. And for this reason I think that an FXH channel would consist of;

Favourites from the cinema
The current top movies
new entries
classics
short runs of several fx tests
Tutorials

With the occasional reminder of what things have been made with smile

Of course, old and new video would have to be included, to suit users that have seen the whole cinema and total strangers.

Let us not forget actual video showcases. Instead of just reading them we could watch an interview. eek

Who would be in charge of producing and maintaining such a thing? The would be a full time job in itself.

This is a really cool idea. It would be pretty sweet to have a one hour show say every other week or so, showcasing the latest hits, and interviews and stuff that the creators could send in.

That would be awesome.

Apparently Windows Media Encoder 9 can do this, it's a free DL from MS.

This seems like a great idea, and I know I'll certainly be watching it. But I'm not sure live streaming is the way to go. People will have to be in the right timezone, have a fast enough connection, and have all the required software to be able to watch.

It'd be much easier to upload it somewhere as a big file. Then people could download it and watch it whenever they wanted. You also wouldnt have to worry about your machine (or viewers machines) crashing half way through the stream.

Also remember to get peoples permissions before redistributing their films, although I cant see anyone having a problem with their movie being included in a cool showcase.

It seems boffa did it, whatever this "it" is wink Seriously - that's great idea in my opinion! Congrats! Can't wait to see it, but again - some more info?

As for advertising - I'm sure that we can do some kind of advertising on this forum, and also - perhaps some of us could put a info about it on their websites (this includes me of course wink ).
