That was annoying and a bit disturbing. Please stop it with the internet "funnys". No offence, but it unless it's a new JibJab (which that wasn't) it just wastes my time.

That was not funny.

The best commercial ever is clearly the "Feel Great" Nutrigrain commercial.

Shut-up. No offence, but if your gonna post something as ignorant as that dont post at all. The guy asked you to give you a link to your favorite commercial or state which it is, not only did you not do that but you also put down his opinion and went off topic.

Its a forum, stop getting all pissy, we can post things you dont like but it doesnt give you the right to put them down its our opinion if csb thinks its offensive they will delete it they dont need yoru useless comments. This doesnt even deserve to be put down, commercials are related to filmmaking and I think its a good idea to see what commercials people like.

and if someone tells me Im acting like a forum mod they need to shut-up as well. ( sept aculag of course and canta and any csb people and xcession )

I feel great!

I like super bowl bud-light commercials. But that M & M one where they are a pool of M & M's is my personal favorite. I wish I had that video high res and as a screensaver. If someone could post a link to it that'd be brilliant.

I don't know if anyone but me saw this, but there was a Super Bowl commercial hyping the NFL or something this year and it had Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys at their vacation homes singing, the song from Annie, "The Sun will Come out Tomorrow" and at the end of it Jerry Jones does cartwheels and backflips. Hilarious.

I don't know what it is about the dentyne ice commercial but it cracks me up everytime. Its the one when their in the taxi and puts the gum in his mouth and his head freezes turning blue... then the taxi driver freaks out jerking the car making the guys frozen head fall off onto his partners lap.

Slick,

1) If CSB or the mods have a problem with a particular post, they will get rid of it.

2) Whenever I post anything that I find funny on here, people get all angry and tell me that that is "old" or not that funny. Pencil just did exactly that, and its wrong for HIM to do it, but when others do, you jump to their rescue.

3) Hes just stating his opinion, and if there is one thing I learned from this place, its that you shouldn't get upset when someone says something rude or annoying on the internet. After Pencil said that, people just ignored him. They don't care. Its the internet.

(I know I am going against what I just said about not caring about online people by posting this, but It needs to be said. And I know that I have done this in the past as well, but I changed.)

I read Slick's rebuttal for about 5 minutes and I couldn't come up with anything witty. So I read my post and realized I was being an asshole. Therefore, I apologise if I insulted anyone.

I was in a fury becuase of my anger with the recent "Post Deleting of 2004", and the fact that someone could get away with a topic this unrelated to anything (as the mods would say).

But I am infuriated at the hypocrasy of people on this site. Yeah, I did something wrong.

But please, carry on. I'm sorry.

1. Yes they will Ive already stated that.

2. Pencil said not to post funnies and put this thread down, it was not ment to be a funny thread read the first post. It says to post your favorite commercial and then the author put his after that.

3. I care it pissed me off sence I think this is an interesting thread and shouldnt be put down.

If this thread never came along I would have never seen that Nutri-Grain commercial which I think was great biggrin.

Yeah. You can watch it on Ifilm.com I think. It's a french Nike commercial that starts with the words, "A young man is being chased by a chicken. In this city, if you insult a chicken, it will chase you."

To bring this topic to a slightly different area, I can show you the most disturbing commercial I have ever seen. You have probably seen it as well. First check out http://skittles.com/advertising/play.jsp?sID=RAINBOW_SITTING_15_low&e=1
and watch.

Now, instead of writing everything over again, I'll just copy and paste what I said on my website when I saw that.

Guys, I totally just saw something that scared the hell out of me. It was this Skittles ad. For those of you that don't know, Skittles are a popular candy with a tag line of "Taste the Rainbow." Well, I was up watching TV because I didn't want to go to sleep and saw this Skittles ad. It shows these three kids sitting on this rainbow, and then one of them says "What if this rainbow isn't real, and it's just imaginary?" Suddenly, his section of the rainbow falls down like a trap door and he falls down from the sky to his fucking death! I swear I didn't blink for at least a minute after I saw that. I was terrified. I mean, this is Soviet psychology all over again. Someone begins to use his mind in question, and you send him to die. Skittles doesn't want you to think thoughts against it. They want you to believe in them. I don't know about you guys, but I saw this seamingly harmless ad and was scared shitless. Okay, I swear I haven't done any drugs. *UPDATE* The skittles site has a video of this ad. Check it out. Prepare to be scared. *UPDATE UPDATE* Every time I turn around there is something new to add to this Skittles crisis. I further explored the Skittles site and went to the contact page. I sent them this message.

"I watched your latest Rainbow Sitting commercial, and I can honestly say that it scared the hell out of me. You are promoting Soviet ideas all over again. One kid, the one not eating Skittles, uses his mind in question of the belief system. Suddenly he is sent to his death. The others, who never say a word, are too comitted to the system to say anything. They are too afraid of dying. They never say a word in the entire commercial. Instead, they share their skittles and look on as if daily practice, which it is. I have noticed a few other links between you and the soviets. For instance, your primary package color/site color is red. You are part of Mars, also known as the RED planet. I must say that your position on this authoritarian sentiment terrifies me, and I intend to inspire others to my cause of awareness. Why shouldn't we speak our minds, Skittles? Why should we mindlessly accept your command to believe the rainbow? I think you've awakened a sleeping giant with this commercial, Skittles. You've made a big mistake. If you want to contact me, I'll be on the West side of the iron curtain."

I really hope I get a response. If I do, it will certainly be on here. Spread the message, people! Tell the people what Skittles is trying to do to us!

ANOTHER UPDATE! Okay, guys, I swear, this keeps getting deeper and deeper. I keep finding more suspicious things about these Skittles people. For instance, they have this game on there called Pop It. Here is a quote from the rules.

"Don't let the bubbles get out of hand. Your friends are having fun mixing SKITTLESĀ® Bubble Gum but they need your help to keep them from total lift-off over the rainbow. Pop the bubbles they are blowing and they will safely return back to earth. "

Don't you see? They don't want you to get out of hand. They don't want you to stray too far from the rainbow, so you have to pop some bubbles and make people fall back down to Earth (like the commercial). They don't want you to be creative and form your own flavors. You need to stick to what they give you. Another example is this online ecard-esque thing you can make on the site. It says they want to see how you look (you design your digital self). Of course they want to see how you look. That way it is easier to get you if you stray away. Next example, and one of the more frightening ones I might add. There is another game called Sour Skittles Race. Here is an excerpt from the rules.

"Grab your board, select your skater, bring the Sour Skittles Candies and get ready for the fast-paced Sour Skittles Race. Weave your way through the city streets to the finish line. BEWARE -- PEOPLE ALONG THE RACE ROUTE TRY TO INTERRUPT YOUR PROGRESS BY GETTING YOUR ATTENTION. SILENCE THESE BOTHERSOM BYSTANDERS BY LANDING A HANDFUL OF SOUR SKITTLES INTO THEIR MOUTHS."

Doesn't anyone else see something horribly wrong with that part of the rules? Silence these free speakers. Then of course, I played the game. It turns out these annoyances are people that just stand there on the sidewalk doing nothing. They mind their own business. Skittles is trying to teach you that a neutral party is not good enough. If you're not one of us, you're one of them. That sort of message. These idlers are not participating in the Skittles hype, therefore they are annoyances that need to be corrected by shoving skittles down their throat. This will get it's own page when I'm ready. Guys, I'm frickin serious about this. Check it out for yourself. -Jacob

Then yesterday I wrote this.

For the sake of beating an unfortunately dead horse, I just noticed something new about the infamous Skittles commercial, which I watched again for no reason whatsoever. Did any of you notice that the one who is sentenced to death is a male with shaggy hair. The other two are a girl with slightly long hair and a boy with a nice short hairstyle. Apparently shaggy or long hair for a male is not allowed. Once again, beating an unfortunately dead horse. -Jacob

I'm telling you, when you watch TV under the circumstances that I was, you see things like this.

That commercial is brilliant. I think the soviet psychology thing is genius. That might not be what was intended by the commercial, since I don't think commercials are usually that deep, but man. Awesome.

Uh....*ben coughs* "Midnight Jester....CA-CRAZY!"
Dude, that commercial makes me laugh everytime. Yeah, it is a bit morbid, because the kid falls to his death, but they don't show anything, its just implied. The commercial was made for old white ladies who sit at home watching TV and eating Snickers and lanky teens who love sugar. Those kind of people aren't going to care what happens to the kid in the commercial. It's meant to entertain and to sell the product. That's all it is. And overexaminig the games on their website? Dude, its official, either you have WAY too much free time, or you have NO life. I'd say both. wink

Do you honestly think Skittles cares about your message? Saying that they're infering Soviet ideals? Your message is one of those that they toss out because its from a schizophrenic conspiracy theorist who lives with his mom, is 300 pounds overweight, and is permanently bonded to a rolly chair for easy computer access. You're persistent, I'll give you that. Now go outside and find some friends; because its evident that you need some. Soviet conspiracy.....Jesus.

a little over-the-top, don't you think, ben? MidJest- dude, you have a serious paranoia problem. But, frankly, I'm not complaining. That commercial was funny and your theory is even funnier.

This Nutrigrain commercial
Is possibly the best advert ever.

Ooooh, I feel great! But not so great, because someone has linked to it already.

The Honda cog advert is also pure genius.

However, for me... little beats the Mini fish advert

Hmm. Let's analyze the figures. It has been said that the commercial was funny, but the theory was even funnier. Could that, *gasp*, be intended? No, couldn't be. Of COURSE I don't actually believe that, but it was fun to find as much stuff contributing to that idea as possible and sending a message to skittles. It was all just for fun. As to the description of me living with my mom, being 300 pounds overweight, and having no life, well, I live in a dorm halfway across the country from my mom, am a completely healthy weight, and have a quite nerdy life that I enjoy.

That actually saddens me that you guys would rather believe that I am completely paranoid than think that it might possibly be a joke. Oh well, I'll try to be more clear next time.

Oh, and thank you Aculag. Whether or not you expressed it directly, I can tell you didn't think I was just some paranoid guy. You recognized what I said for what it meant. Or at least, that's what I gathered.
